Canadian University Field Lacrosse

Post by xxxxxxx »

Things are pretty slow right now in my office and in the college lacrosse world and I came lacrosse something I never knew existed.

The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association

Been around since 1985,main difference I noticed is they play in the fall, which makes much more sense than playing in February or March. Looks pretty cool, one of my son'e former team mate's from a D1 team here plays. I don't see it happening anytime soon but switching lacrosse to the fall would be a great thing for the sport.

The very first college lacrosse game was actually played in the fall. Will never work in the US because of football.

CUFLA is a great league and has actually been pulling some DI transfers and US born players over the past few years. They are also able to play in NLL during the winter as well.

A big difference from NCAA is that some teams are varsity teams and some are considered club teams.
