Dude. Not only have I been complaining about, for example, Bezos and Amazon not paying their fair share for years......I've also complained about bottom 50% earners not paying income taxes either.

The biggest tax deduction in the universe is when rich Democrats drop their fortunes tax-free into their perma-foundations, allowing them to make policy tax-free, spend money tax-free (Clinton Fdn flies Hil, Bill, and Chelsea tax-free everywhere), hire and overpay Democratic activists, invest in Democratic causes to elect radical socialists.

These Foundations will be ruining American culture for centuries to come. I can list many off the top of my head created just in the last 20 years.

We are talking billions and billions of inheritance taxes avoided, not to mention the damage their foundations cause every day with baloney causes like global warming. And it's all sponsored by the very same party which demands 80% inheritance taxes. What an effing scam.
Most of the rich pass on more of their money to theirs kid.....tax free.

That’s actually incorrect. Even if you set up trusts, there are taxes paid on transfers of equities and bonds and cash. Generation skipping trusts work better to avoid the taxman but even there.

Transfers into foundations are where the real money is. And the vast majority of this is being done on behalf of Democrats such as Buffet, Gates, Bloomberg, Broad, Lily....

I’ll start with the only responsible answer. Tax laws are written to encourage (or not) behavior. The Clintons didn’t write the laws they utilizes to reduce their EARNED INCOME tax liabilities. They paid what was owed.

If you don’t like the laws, elect people to change them. It’s not a taxpayers obligation to pay more than legally required.

Are you really that challenged on logic?

It must be their MO.

The in-laws regularly vote Democrat. They love talking about big government, the good of programs, and laud government oversight.

But yet they moved to FL to pay less taxes. And for some reason they also hire a good accountant each year to pay as few taxes as possible.

:?

Makes no sense to me.

You're obviously confused about their motives. You're not confusing paying federal income taxes to support national "Big Gubmint" with all those niggling little state and local taxes that are out there, areya?? ;)

Democrats moan about low tax rates. Every single day. Higher taxes are your answer to everything.

The wealthiest Democrats (the most influential) avoid the biggest tax (inheritance) by transferring their wealth to foundations, TAX FREE. The funds are then used to underwrite all manners of expenses including personal travel, hiring fellow Dems, etc.

The Treasury could have collected 50% or more of what ended up in the Foundations had the taxpayer been forced to pay the inheritance tax (which again, Democrats moan is too low).

Is your party’s hypocrisy not clear enough for you?

So what is the big deal? The wife and have used the same tax guy for awhile now. The goal is to pay as little of our hard earned money to the government as is legally possible. Since when did that become a bad thing? trump is doing on a larger scale what every damn one of us is trying to do.. pay as little to the government as possible. The last time I looked, trump didn't write the tax laws in the USA. If we had a consumption tax like a Fan and some of us have been advocating for... then an effing army of accountants and tax lawyers can't save your ass from paying what you should pay. All of you folks are b****ing about trump using the tax laws the f***wads in DC created in the first place. It may be like trying to find Waldo. They are there if you know how the tax system works and what you have to do to find all the loopholes our politicians have written into the tax code. I bet my bottom dollar that there are a large bunch of uber rich folks just like trump using the tax code loopholes for their financial benefit. I double down on my bet and say they include democrats and republicans.

The in-laws regularly vote Democrat. They love talking about big government, the good of programs, and laud government oversight.

But yet they moved to FL to pay less taxes. And for some reason they also hire a good accountant each year to pay as few taxes as possible.

:?

Makes no sense to me.

This is why to us Floridians, we can’t understand why libs want to live here, and really hate when they import their atrocious voting tendencies.

uk, italy and germany 10 fold increases after extended lockdowns. germany's and italy's totals are still (for now) at reasonable levels and germany has been the star of the first world all things considered. aspiring to be germany is a lofty goal.

lockdown would be to buy time?
Buy time til an effective, safe vaccine and effective, quick testing?

..
it's a strategy. if those come. i suspect if my friends at ihme are correct, we'll see lockdowns everywhere well before jan 20 and this debate won't matter. germany is expected to have daily cases rise to about 70-75 thousand per day in december, their death toll nearly triple by year end and who knows what for mortality in jan-feb.

here's to a vaccine.
Great news for China. Well played CCCP.
I thought that if elected Joe would cut the death rate in the USA down to zero on Nov. 5th? I know how sleazy the democrat leadership is. If they beat trump the miracle of miracles will happen... suddenly the death rate from Covid will not be such a big freaking deal anymore. The MM may not even post the daily body bag total everyday like the do now? One Covid starts becoming their problem, the rules of the game will change radically. I will bet good old Doc B won't give a flying fig about who dies from Covid anymore. He may not even remember what Covid is after Nov. 5th. The democrat party will come down with an even more bizarre medical malady. We can call it sudden onset Covid amnesia.
