American culture has handled a pandemic. We're changing quite markedly as we post here. Curbside pickup, delivery becoming the norm. People working from home, entirely. Businesses choosing to shutter and limit servfices to help slow the spread. We have no clue how many people are infected, and won't until we have testing. This is an educated guess, and nothing more. And the other part of the equation the people seem to forget when comparing it to the common flu is: how many Americans get the flu each year? Will that number be the same with Covid if Americans go about their business?
American culture can't handle a pandemic, obviously. Full Stop.
Let Darwin sort it out, I guess. And hope that we don't have a ton of health care professionals don't die because of American stubbornness.
