I know Danville, American National Bank is there. That area has declined with the decline in furniture manufacturing in the Triad area (Greensboro) have a friend and business client at a bank based in Martinsville, VA not far away and he hates it there having grown up in Chicago then living in NYC finally relocating from Hilton Head to Martinsville to take a gig at a bank HQd there. They are moving that bank eventually either Richmond or Greensboro because they see that Southern VA area can be beautiful but filled with meth-heads and opioid addicted folks.

Would note that Salisbury is effectively a suburb/exurb pf Charlotte (nice little downtown of maybe three blocks). Chester, PA is Philly area. This makes Danville a true outlier.
