Princeton is in and going to get a high seed. Committee isn’t going to care about where they finished in Ivy League standings when you account for their plethora of high quality wins

Harvard is probably outside looking in. Had they won, inside. Crimson need to root for Cuse and UNC tomorrow

I know this is the men's side of the house but a quick nod to the legendary Chris Sailer, who in her final season has led Princeton to a 7-0 league record and another Ivy title (good battle today by Yale but the Tigers got it done down the stretch). 36 years, 430 wins, 3 national championships, 16 Ivy titles -- another Ivy league coaching icon.

It would be sad if Harvard were left out. They played their guts out today and have had a great year. I know hoping for 6 to get in is asking a lot but the Crimson in my opinion deserve a spot.

Possible Ivy Honorees this week:

As a note, if last week was the Week of the Goalie, this week was the Week of the Rookie:

POW:

Gavin Adler, Cornell: 8GB, 5CT vs Princeton
John Piateli, Cornell: 6 points (5,1) vs Princeton
Michael Long, Cornell: 7 points (3,4) vs Princeton
Matt Bradau, Yale: 6 points (4,2) vs Harvard, 11 points (7,4) vs Quinnipiac
Ryan Aughavin, Brown: 5 points (4,1) vs Dartmouth, 3 points (1,2) vs Bryant

ROW:

Chris Lyons, Yale: 5 points vs Harvard (5,0), 6 points (3,3) vs Quinnipiac
Brad Sharp, Yale: 5 points vs Harvard (1,4), 2 points (2,0) vs Quinnipiac
CJ Kirst, Cornell: 4 points (4,0) vs Princeton
Leo Johnson, Yale: 4 points (2,2) vs Harvard, 6 points (1,5) vs Quinnipiac
Connor Theriault, Brown: 8 saves (62%) vs Dartmouth

Rookies for Honor Roll:

Coulter Mackesy, Princeton: 6 points (5,1) vs Cornell
Joe Dowling, Harvard: 4 points (3,1) vs Yale
Andrew Perry, Harvard: 4 points (2,2) vs Yale
Sam King, Harvard: 3 points (1,2) vs Yale

Other Honor Roll:

Sam English, Princeton : 6 points (5,1) vs Cornell

Five of the top six scorers in the Harvard/Yale game were rookies. Coulter Mackesy was tied for leading scorer for Princeton, and was one of the most dangerous players on the field today.

Missing ILT may be good for Princeton. They can rest and get healthy between now and first round of NCAA on May 14-15 .

No Bragg for player of the week,

I mean he deserves it for that game winning shot alone.

Yale-Harvard the best game I’ve seen played in a long time. I don’t know how rankings will finish RPI wise, but there are six Ivy’s whose quality of play and results this season make them deserving of NCAA selection. I’m hoping the selection committee will apply any subjective consideration in favor of this.

Sunday, May 8
Game 3: Winner of game 1 vs. Winner of game 2 (12 p.m., ESPNU)
We have the same four teams in the ILT that we had in both 2018 and 2019. In fact, this year's semi-finals are the same match-ups we had in 2019, although in both games the seedings are reversed. I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that Princeton didn't qualify for the ILT; but credit to Cornell for grabbing a vital road win in New Jersey to eliminate the Tigers.

We're done with April and thus with April lacrosse, and into the knock-out month of May. I know what I'll be watching this Friday evening!

Congratulations and thank you to each & every Ivy player, coach and staff member for giving us a tremendous regular season.

I've only seen a GWG recognized once this year for Chris Lyons as ROW. However, you may be correct. I started tracking performance to try to understand the weekly award process better. Let's see.

I’d go with Adler myself.

Just trying to Bragg to the mix 👍

It says something about the tremendous crop of Ivy players this year (and how well they played yesterday) that a player like Bragg, with a hat trick (all on EMO) including the game-winning goal, wouldn't initially make our "Fanlax Ivy Honor Roll." I agree he should be on it although I too would give Adler the nod for his extraordinary (and difference-making) performance in the game of the season for Cornell.

That P'ton and Harvard aren't in the Ivy Tourney is... Strange. I get why but still strange. 2 really good teams.

Can anyone pick a favorite? I have a hard time going with Brown, but they are at home, and no doubt earned. If they beat Penn, I don’t see how Cornell bounces back in two days to take the title, in an away game, with a banged up lineup. But I don’t see Yale beatung Cornell in the semis.

Brown's 3-0 against the field, so the emotional incentive is with the field.
Brown has the home cookin' advantage.
Health, weather, who plays best "up-the-middle" at f/o & goal?
Not the same players but Brown hosted in '15 and '16 and was 0-2.

I saw a 'Nova vlog abt their road trip to PVD, and they went to Haven Bros diner the night before the game, but only had smoothies. Maybe Brown fans can ante up for Haven gift certs for the visiting teams but for some hotdogs & beans; we'll get a few DNP: intestinals out of that for sure.
But that would be wrong😉

This is a good point, didn’t occur to me. Tough to beat a team twice, especially when all four are so close to each other.

So there is some talk about the Ivy League not getting 5 teams in the NCAAs because....ACC and Big 10 bias.

You have

Princeton
Penn
Yale
Cornell
Brown
Harvard

The top 5 are in the RPI top 8. Harvard is not likely getting in. Princeton is in.

Is one of ILT semifinal losers really in jeopardy of not getting a bid? Seriously? Even with a semifinal loss, how does one of Brown, Cornell, Yale, or Penn get left out over teams with lower RPI and SOS?

what's likely to push Harvard out?

I can see a couple of scenarios, but seems to me there's also someone which, at least if the NCAA follows what they've said, Harvard slips in.
