Their goalie is a commit. The goalie for St. Mary is a commit for the following year.
Terps have a lot of recruits playing in the MiAA this spring.

With six games in the books, it looks like Tillman has found his 18-22 go to guys. A lot of redshirts got burned in game 1 although several freshman haven’t made the stat sheet yet. Also Welding, Ubriaco, and Chiaramonte? are medical redshirt possibilities. A young team this year will also be young next year.

Believe Ubriaco is red-shirt. Chiaramonte is not on the roster but I thought someone said he still with the program

Chiarmonte is going to redshirt. Welding is a big question mark at this point.

Washington post reporting
The University of Maryland system (most public colleges in state) will ask all students to stay off campus for two weeks following the end of spring break.

From Maryland

These measures are prudent and timely. As an integral part of the University community, Maryland Athletics will implement several measures to protect the health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans.
In-season practices and home and away games will continue to be held, with the following significant restrictions:

Effective immediately, only student-athletes, coaches, essential personnel, officials, credentialed media and a limited number of family members of the competing teams will be permitted to attend games, until at least April 10.

Maybe Maryland will allow people to sit where they want now....instead of having guards protect the under cover seating ;)

With the ACC suspending all sport events, looks like our season is, at a minimum, suspended. The B1G will follow suit shortly.

So will Jared come back or go play football? That was a dream of him and his dad.

Would be a wise decision, IMHO. Lacrosse is a means to an end, for the most part. TIme to get busy on the career part of life.

Can't he do both if the additional eligibility is granted for all spring sports by the NCAA? He would miss fall ball, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Just one of the many decisions to be made in the coming months. Roster construction in 2021 will be very difficult if all 9 seniors return, even though only 3-4 are regulars. N Grill is already on a 5th year and Welding is a medical redshirt. It will be interesting to see how many of the underclassmen use the extra year or move on. This is not even considering the usual transfer turnover. Hope the NCAA makes common sense rules to make help the players make good decisions.

Tiffany did a second interview with Jamie Munro. Interesting part was about how players who want to play football and how the spring players getting the spring year back. It’s on FB around the 45 min mark. So if Jared wants to play both football and Lacrosse he would have to do it at the same school.

WILL MARYLAND'S JARED BERNHARDT PURSUE FOOTBALL OR LACROSSE IN 2021?
But among the quirkier situations is Maryland star attackman Jared Bernhardt. The senior already announced his intention to play football next fall, destination unknown. And now comes the possibility he could play a fifth season of lacrosse at Maryland.

Coach John Tillman said Friday that Bernhardt returned home, along with current Maryland assistant Jesse Bernhardt, and plans to discuss his situation with his family.

“They’re going to talk about some things,” Tillman said. “Right now, we just don’t know if it’s an option for a fifth year and what would the circumstances be with that extra year. I’m not sure anyone can do anything right now.”

IL has reported that UPS Grant Ament will NOT take his 6th year. It will be interesting to see how many seniors actually come back...I’m thinking less than we originally thought! The Ivy’s in particular would have to change their rules, so that effects a few of the top teams from 2020.

It’s a long way off at this point, when we’re living week to week but hopefully by mid summer we’ll have a much better idea.

Reality strikes. 6 years is long in tooth if grad degree not the goal. College lax is time consuming and you are going to get bumps and bruises along the way . Some or many seniors will move on with life and start careers. Ament also has the additional option of pro play given his ability. For PSU, be a setback in 2021 but that program is established

Man...if Ament is more of a harbinger for PSU, they're going lose more than just him. Does O'keefe come back? Does Kneese come back? Does Arceri come back? Foulds is already a 5th year senior. Does Cardille come back? This was a senior-laden team.

Ament made that offense go. Losing him is affects that team in a huge way. Will they totally rebuild that offense or keep it schematically the same?
