It’s like comedy around here. No facts, just immediate confirmation bias. I swear.

Also take a look at Lujon’s victory in Texas.

LMAO dude.

Votecast Survey = 2655 respondents.
Fox Survey = 2634 respondents

CNN = 3899 respondents as they actually exited the polls

Also, CNN cited the National Election Pool poll, it wasn't CNN doing it.

Clearly the NEP was tiny, only ~50% larger than the "extensive" polling you cite. So much for no facts and confirmation bias.

We'll continue to get better data in the post-mortem. I like my chances on this one though.

She’s a total rock star.

But like the case with Byron Donald’s of Florida, Winsome dents the desired narrative by the left. She’s black.
Did either of you actually listen to her speech? When she got to the "here's what we're actually going to do" part (4:48), she opened with more socialism, more spending, more government.

Is that the bottom line for you guys? You'll accept any idea or policy, so long as a little R does it?

FFS guys. Maybe work a little harder at hiding that you're actually big government libs, but you just need a Republican to do it so that you can pretend that you're not.
From her speech at that mark.....Fully Fund HBCU.....that is a good thing, and Lower taxes whos not for that in Va?

Damn shame the D's cant even do these simple things....otherwise they'd always win. Makes you wonder what they really want if they cant even help HBCU's......even Trump knew that. D's....nope, not nearly is generous. Rather they want to tell parents they have no voice in schools.....I bet you really liked that right?

People who can't add and subtract, and who think you can spend more, and cut taxes at the same time. ;)

Yes, i agree that fully funding VA's HBCU is a good thing----but that more government, more spending, and more socialism!!!

Your team is against that, remember?

No argument from me! Just make sure you apply this logic to your team, my man.

In other words, your team keeps making government bigger and spending more is specifically because you, the Republican voter, LOVE the effects of big government, big spending, and socialism.

The sooner you all can relax and admit this obvious fact? The sooner we can get to fixing the major problems in our Nation. As you can tell, this frustrates the cr*p out of me.

Which parents?

Which parents get to decide? Would you let ME decide how and what to teach your kids? ;)

And yes, I loved that. The LAST thing I'd want is for a bunch of uneducated, untrained parents to make curriculum choices for our children. I'd leave that to our educators. Want curriculum control? Great news: homeschool your kids.

The Education issue is not just curriculum. Parents are increasingly uneasy that educrat apparatchiks are brainwashing their kids with a radical woke manifesto, rather than sticking to the basics.

McAuliffe telling parents to butt out, then giving the mic to a screeching teacher's union president, while the Feds called them domestic terrorists, played right into those fears. Reports of rape in trans bathrooms didn't help/

It's hilarious watching the (D)'s run away from CRT as fast as their hairy little legs will carry them.

That's certainly how the right portrays it, but that's fake news. Easy to see why parents are so scared when they're fed a steady diet of fear-mongering on a non-issue.

You even see it on this board. CRT = white males are evil.

D's totally screwed the pooch by focusing on the Trump messaging and not controlling the narrative on the education thing. Virginia K-12 is some of the best in the nation.

That's indeed the key question.

I want kids to be good critical thinkers, not automatons repeating whoever's dogma.

But some parents appear very scared about that "critical thinking", wanting to control the dogma, afraid an alternative dogma to their own is being taught.

And I darn sure don't want those parents deciding!

And you're absolutely right, there's an alternative for the whiners...homeschooling...you can control it all.

That kid seemed a bit young to be an old angry white male.

I will say most of the angry young white males do their shootings outside of the restrooms. Not sure where the old angry white males are causing trouble? Maybe checking girls genitals in Florida? Or covering up pedophiles in Pennsylvania or Michigan or Ohio before heading to Congress? ;)

Might as well shut down those federal schools while we're at it, 'cause, I mean we all know the federal gov't doesn't do anything well.

Funny thing is, most of the indoctrination (liberal & conservative) happens at private schools. Been a firsthand party to both sides. The public schools I've been at were extremely neutral and back to basics vs the privates.

Couple of messed up years into elementary school and you can read who's a teacher who's immersed and cares and who is going through the motions until they can get to their summer. All pleasant, but when you ask a decent, non-self serving, but focused question/inquiry on ones own child and see the wheels turning in the teacher's head it becomes pretty evident, even over zoom. Then I had one who refused to answer my go to "what would keep you up at night" and then rephrased as "where is the biggest opportunity or upside for my kid" to help make it easier for her, and she gives me a non answer you know they aren't in it for the love of the game so much as the idea of being a teacher. Now I keep an eye closer on the kid educationally (one class/grade, 22mo in age, apart) who's teacher is the "paycheck" employee and focus more on the social side on the one with the teacher who cares for the balance of this year.

It's very different than what I dealt with in the 80s (middle/HS in the 90s but I'm talking K - 5th here) in a lot of ways. I wish they didn't dismiss as much of the classic arts in lieu of a lot more post modern stuff, but don't hate it. What I'm only now realizing, like a doofus probably a bit late, is that applying ones own standards or relating our own childhood experience to our kids is deleterious. We can share, but framing their growing up through our lenses is just not good. Worse when we do this culturally/socially across the country and politics, but I'm specifically hyper-focused on this with my kids at the moment and getting them upright and on solid footing when they need to be down the road and that's not by putting them through the labrynth that was my (or certainly my wife's) experience and upbringing/childhood by a "country mile".

Keep your dogma out of my kids mind. Educate, don't indoctrinate.
Your idea of critical thinking = here's what we want you to think.

I'm only referring to what I expect from public schools.
I prefer neutral & back to basics.
