Definitely needed. I didn't notice many, if any, changes to the lineup that we used in the first two blowouts, and we nearly lost this one too. This inability to adapt is worrisome. I almost feel we won simply because of the mud on the field and because of Cook's releasable penalty.

Is "clearances" a word in lacrosse?
Not any more than "Attacker"

These announcers are just horrible...
I usually enjoy listening to student announcers. Not today.
That said, I can come down off my ledge.

Gritty, huge, perhaps season saving win. Jays answered Heels physicality. 3 transition goals were momentum changers. Another fine game for Epstein: 2g, 2a.

The mud looked even worse than the Tillman Johnson show.

How that Rowlett cheap shot on Kuhn was not an unreleasable penalty is beyond me.
Kid's a scumbag.
That is a bit much given how Marr carries himself.

Should have been three minutes and an ejection. Late hit elbow directly to the head of a defenseless player. That's what suspensions are for. Breschi really coaching em up down in Carolina. A whole team of goons. Couldn't save them today against the Hop munchkins apparently.

DeSo had a weak game—the midfield is offering NOTHING. Zinn comes in, what do you know, immediately caused a turnover on defense. It's laughable at this point.

Narewski another solid day, seemed to gain steam as the game went on. Love to see that in a freshmen. Moment wasn't too big for him.

He was celebrating a late hit, in which the player he hit, a longpole, still scored. Weird flex, but ok.

Told ya Hopkins would win,

but naaahhh... two Blanche Dubois mid tier teams battling it out.

Thankfully, no one got hurt in that joke of a field. UNC has no other artificial surface fields available?

Big and much needed win for the Jays. Undoubtedly saved some heads from exploding.
One day Williams is going to run into a ref who calls warding off, that'll be a long day for him.
Hop coaches do Big Boy Burgers commercials down in the Hop area? Just an awful image for D1 lax coaches.

Unlike most hits we see, it was shoulder to chest, NOT the lame cross check to the chest. And, it was the furthest thing from being a cheap hit. The Cook hit would have been clean, if......but ...he did...so, 2 minutes. And, whats with the zebras giving Hopkins a free 20 seconds on the shot clock on the ensuing 2 minute EMO?

Wonder how much that will cost the university? That field will have to be completely re-sodded. Dumb.

Was a big win for Hop whether they were playing NJIT or Md, russy, they needed a win.
I agree with your evaluation of the hit.

It wasn't the hit, it was the reaction to the hit.

Cook's hit was much worse.

Cook hit should have been an ejection. Intentionally targeted the head of a defenseless player.

I agree the celebration was idiotic. When it comes to Marr I'm just getting tired of the dirty slashes, late hits but the straw for me today was the flop to draw a penalty. That is flat out chicken dump nonsense and disrespectful to the game. You're a captain at Johns Hopkins, act like it.

Williams is already having long days. Four of them so far this season.
