I think the game is close through middle of 3rd quarter and then cuse pulls away and wins by 5 or 6

The other game that interests me today is Mercer vs Clemson. It should be Clemson's for the taking, but Mercer can sometimes surprise teams. I haven't watched any of Mercer this year to know if they are at their usual level or not. I'm just hopeful after the UVA loss, Clemson loses again.

There, I said it.

I think this is what he meant. Probably dictated the post into his phone and didn't proofread. Just a guess.

Feel the same way, but after what VT did to Mercer, and after the Tigers took one on the chin from the Hoos, I expect a 15 point + W for Clemson.

How come you hope they lose again?

Mercer is a good team and well coached. Also coming off a weeks rest. Will be hungry to knock off an ACC team

I personally can’t wait for Cuse SBU. I think cuse will expose their defense today!

That would make more sense if that's what was intended.

I find #28, Rhode to be impressive. Similar in stature to a Scane and/or Hawryschuk with a good stick and very good shot. Seems to have been under the radar (to me anyway) but that's not going last long....Rowley is another one, she's trouble around the cage.

I think Clemson is a bit overhyped. I love that the school has committed to lacrosse and it should help elevate the women's game, but I'm not seeing them as a top competitor in the conference. They are still a portal team and it's hard to build that winning culture from the ground up when your focus is just on the early wins.

Cuse vs SB will be fun and I'll watch it. I hope Cuse blows the doors off of SB. I enjoy the gritty play and defense of SB, but I also enjoy Joe losing some of these games. He just rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

Agreed on both. In regards to Spallina--especially since he is, in large part, responsible for these stupid new green card rules. His callous negligence and lack of basic compassion after the Yale game brought us this chaotic mess between the 30's.

Eh, the freshmen have nearly half of Clemson's points so far. So they're a half-portal, half-freshman team. They did give Duke a thrashing as an "early win".

This is their second year. It's not good for morale or recruiting to schedule a top 10 SOS from the start and end up with 4-5 wins each year. This year's schedule is a little stronger than the first. I would imagine next year will be even stronger.

Has anyone predicted they'd be a top competitor in the ACC this year? Even with the transfer portal, you need 3 years of good freshmen to build a cohesive program.

Clemson has been playing without their leading scorer from last year (Hilcoff), their draw specialist (Little) and the stud freshman who put up 6 goals in their opener (R. Byrne). Are they a top 10 team? No. Are they more than respectable in their second season? Absolutely.

USC 17 - VCU 14 - would not have expected this score at all.

USC is not a top 20 team. They have beaten no team ranked in the top 30 and have lost both times they have played quality opponents. Its AQ or bust for them this year….

Most teams if they face guard don't play zone ...which is all Cuse plays. SB transfer Finn from UMass will open some eyes. Cuse by 5.

USC has a surprisingly weak schedule and looked good in the beginning when a win against Army seemed like something. Now, not so much. How do they stay in top 20? I am hoping Colorado takes down USC and Stanford in their division this year.

What is going on with UMASS? The last 2 years they were a combined 32 & 7. They are about to be 1-4 to start the year since Dartmouth has a running clock on them right now.

Ward has to stop trying to pass ball behind net. 2/3 TO, shes too short!! so frustrating.
Continue to be un-impressed with Cuse goalie.....
