The SSDM that’s a graduate student at UVA went from Amherst to Harvard and now UVA. I forget his name.

Chase Yager-- see above post which does not include UVA because it was just addressing the issue of transfers to Ivies.

Yes. I was pointing out that he originally transferred to Harvard. I like him BTW.

I remember Ryan Matthews leaving Hopkins for Cornell as a Junior. I know his uncle.
Looks like he played 3 years at Cornell. But another name to the list
Possibly a red shirt at hopkins.
Exactly right. He had injuries both years at Hopkins and utilized a 5th year as a result.

Joe

Time to create an Ivy League 2025 thread?

From Harvard's site (have several close family that went there for undergrad):

"To be eligible to transfer, you must have completed at least one continuous academic year in a full-time degree program at one college, and not more than two academic years, by the time you would be enrolling at Harvard."

Hoxwurth wrote: Mon May 13, 2024 9:29 am What's interesting to me about the 2022/24 Ivy debate is that there was a ton of righteous focus on the RPI in 2022 and not this year. The RPI was as flawed then as today. In any case, did the Ivies deserve all those teams in 2022? Absolutely not and the committee's circular reasoning showed as much. Did the Ivies "deserve" two teams in 2024? By my eye, absolutely, but Michigan stole a bid.

Going forward, the Ivies are at a permanent disadvantage with a one-way portal. Sure, they can let guys stretch out their undergrad careers past four years (e.g., Brandau started playing before Cormier), but grad restriction reduces the recruiting pool.
there are myriad problems with rpi and lax, but imo not the ones that people think.
some of the main ones are not related to rpi at all. no real directives on how to cobble together data, criteria, feels. "here's some stuff, wing it."

the selection committee. not how i'd draw it up.

the coaches, ad's. before the incoming new initiatives for nc$$, it's tough to know how much change could be advocated for to nc$$ bureacracy, but outsider it seems like they don't care to find out. anyone ever hear of coaches pounding their fist on the table?

if you changed the mechanism(s) for measurement and left everything else the same, you'll find yourself in the same place.
