He missed an entire season.

Sunday looked like the 2nd coming of Joe Seider during that 2017 run.
He did miss an entire season but being listed as a Senior now makes me think they won't get to redshirt him, surely that time passed back in 2017? Surely he would be listed as a redshirt junior already? Maybe he just want to graduate. With there being so much space in the MLL due to PLL this is probably the best chance an senior has to get drafted. Two leagues means more opportunities. I hope they redshirt him but i feel it would have already happened

Everything being equal, if you can graduate on time, with a year of eligibility left, why not use that year for grad school...even if it's at a different program. Great way to have half your MS/MBA paid for.

Canto is seeing the ball v well. For a big guy really taking a nice step to the ball. As far as shooting, this has to improve. Can’t be releasing stick side high. Right hand shooters take the upper left side out of the equation. Woodall is so good, in practice they should be working on give & go w the point man. Literally could have 30 goals w slow breaks off the FO.

Does anyone know what Alex Woodall’s stats at the X were today?

A bit sloppy on the offensive side. Canto made 18 saves. That's impressive and I'm sure there was a slight letdown once we got up 3-0 the Mount cut it to 3-2. Good thing that we went 4 of 6 on extra man opps. It was a struggle last season and in the first game.

I always thought Monahan had it as a feeder. Nice to see him get four dimes and Koby with 3 as a close defenseman. Not sure I can recollect a Towson defenseman ever having three assists in a game. Would have to back to that 2001 team with Neil Adams and Adam Baxter (and Wesley Speaks). Cocchi at the pole. Starting to get the feeling that this team has a little of that 2001 vibe though not sure the offense is there yet (or close), but Brody McLean looks like a different player (Kyle Campbell?). When they get Matt Sovero back at midfield, that will just add another weapon, likely on the 2nd unit with Greg Ey and Andrew Beachum. Good to see them with a week off. A lot to work on but real surprise so far as been the big man in net. Nobody really knew what to expect.

Math 1234- MSM played a 3-3 poorly on EMO. Coach was on it w the playcalls. These long sticks& the ability to make plays are a factor w the shot clock. Add Goodrich that’s a problem for any team.

Smith seems to be the real deal - getting stats in all over the place.

Smith (3 penalties for 180 minutes) and O'Dare (5/210) need to get their minds right - each of them has more time in the the sin bin then the rest of the team combined (3/90)

Massey has the line 9-8, in favor of the Gtown.

I like our chances in this game - so far we have a better defense and a superior rope unit.

Offensively, both teams have pretty much mirror image stats -

Towson - 29g 17a, 89 shots, .326% shots to goals

Gtown - 27g, 19a, 82 shots, .329% shots to goals.

Last years 12-10 loss to Georgetown was an example of what caused problems most of the 2018 season. 9-9 end of 3rd Q. Towson had 5 turnovers in the 4th. GT had 12 shots in the 4th to Towson 3 shots.Towson lost the 4thQ 3-1. Why ? Turnovers ! Face off battle was in Towson’s favor. They were trying to find an identity in the net, as well as on offense. But, my point is turnovers can not happen if you want to win ball games. Especially, with this schedule in 2019!

Btw, as far as I’m concerned an unwritten turnover is a shot, stick side high. Good shooters do not take shots that land in the goalies stick. Especially, shots when the goalie does nothing to deserve the save. Make them count .

Nads owes the Tessemae guys some swag for helping Woodall get his mind right. Arguably the biggest impact during the off-season....

Woodall dominates at the X today, with Mike Preston at the game (press box I assume) so no Baltimore Sun jinx. Another great Saturday for Sunday with 4 goals, 5 assists.

The GT W will be short lived, Loyola Weds. The question is Weds. how do you play Pat Spencer ? Do you sluff off, play zone ? IMO as distributor he causes more problems . You have to seal off passing lanes. Absolutely stay home on the back side. Yes you lean ball side but too many teams leave gaping holes & he just picks you apart.

Not sure you play Spencer...he plays you and you do the best you can.

Expecting at ton of points by both teams.
