‘Course Joaquin Villagomez is a freshman you’d think could help
out sooner rather than later,

I also saw Berkeley listed as Grad Student, so this year may be it
for him whereas I thought he had another year left.
Joaquin looked good started I believe and had at least one goal.

Any news on the scrimmages this weekend?

I heard Towson, Lehigh, York, and CNU.

Route up in Emmittsburg today. Was not expecting a 20 goal outing, but good win for the Tigers

Final score is not indicative of what a blow out this was. Towson gave up 4 goals late with their subs in. There were some really encouraging signs. Constantnides at the face-off X, Long was excellent in the goal, freshman Villagomez with 5 goals, Berkeley was also excellent.

Did Weisshaar not play?

As for the game, very impressed with the offense. Good ball movement and DeMaio was being more selective with his shots. To have guys like Berkeley (6-4, 225), Ducommun (6-5, 220), Gaskins (6-4, 225) and Chop (6-3, 190) with Villagomez (6-5, 215) on attack is pretty intimidating and helps off-set all the small, quick guys like Roussel (6-8, 155), Reid (5-8, 170), Webber (5-9, 145) and Bender (5-10, 160). Good on face-offs today with Constantinides going 14 of 23.

Nice performance by all, but I wouldn’t dwell on this game. MSM was not with it yesterday. Just get back to work and move on. When you are uncontested like this I’d get back to practice and work on pressures on both sides of the field. What happen in this game is not normal vs good teams.

Not appropriate at this time to get excited about a win vs MSM. And, yes Hopkins had a nice home win vs GT, who lost to Delaware in the tournament (first round). Is GT a top 5 team? Or, is it just on paper ? Will see, they have PENN this week.

It is a shame Hopkins couldn't find a date to schedule Towson this year

Looks like they moved everybody up in the schedule
in order to play Utah, and then Tigers were out.
Plus they added St Joe’s.

Towson also is playing 2 more conference games than they were last year and losing two non conference dates. The CAA did them no favors scheduling wise with adding +2 teams to the conference this year.
