He should fit in perfectly at the midfield in their 222 offense as one of the inside cutters could basically be a right handed Cormier

I’d say John Grant Jr. - Morrisville to Delaware is. But I’m pretty certain Morrisville was JUCO then. Come to thing of it Grant Jr May have just been a commit that followed Andy Shay and not an enrolled player. It was a long time ago.

I think going from top 3 D3 program as the best player, to a Top 3 D1 would make this transfer the biggest ever.

Will Helm just helped Duke get to the national championship game. Making the jump to D1 isn't easy; Making the jump as a goalie and a starter for the entire season (save % over 50) is almost unheard of
First of all, ya better check your tone. I dont think you know who you're talking to. I'm Leonard Washington...I don't get butt naked for nobody!!

Might be aging myself, but:

David Curry, All-American at Gettysburg and transferred to UVA to become a first team All-American in 1997. Then went on to play for Team USA.

Junior was All American at Morrisville under Shay,
then when Shay moved to Delaware, he convinced Shillinglaw to transfer in Grant Jr,

may not have been too hard a sell since Grant Sr had made a big splash with the original Wings.

A lot of whining, moaning, complaining and such because Grant Jr was older than other players - a moot point nowadays -
Grant Jr wasn’t going to go to a US college, evidently he was just biding his time in senior level box until the NLL draft where he would have been number one pick.
Someone talked him into college, whether that was Shay, Simmons Jr tried to recruit Grant Jr, or his dad, not sure.

Tim McGinnis was a 3 year all American GK at Gettysburg from 2001-2003, transferred to Maryland for the 2004 season and I believe was an all American.

Salisbury had Eric Law for a year (2010) bit he was injured most of the year. Was from Colorado and he ultimately transferred to Denver and played 3 years, was incredibly efficient and I believe he was an All American and he has had an extremely solid pro career.

I'm sure there are others but they're the 2 that have always impressed me with how smoothly they transitioned to D1.

It'll be interesting to see how he fairs in D1 and if the hype is just all fluffed up. Jacoby and Yager are two names that have put up numbers that don't get the respect they deserve.

I assume he’s got some blessing from Lars of playing time. Don’t see the D3 OPOY going D1 to just sit on the sideline and watch. That would be a let down. But UVA offense is very stacked!

UVA has shown they'll sit their freshmen recruits, even if they're the #1 player in the class.

I can see an attack of Boyden, Mencke and Shellenberger

Million and Sunderland running out of the box.

Boyden may have a role similar as DII two-time player of the year Charlie Bertrand when he transfered in from Merrimack. As talented as Boyden is, Coach Tiffany will get him on the field, somehow, someway, even if it's at midfield.

I think the UVA staff will figure it out or maybe just maybe already have it figured out. Or maybe they can come on here and read everyone’s ideas to help them. SMH!
