Just seems like they haven’t been the same after manny left and they had issues between some suspensions and some key injuries last 4-5yrs.
Agreed 100%, I also think coaches finally able to give athletic money will make a difference too. Can't believe how competitive they've been in the past without being able to award athletic scholarships. Kids clearly want to play at Bart, now with money... it will only help the program.
One other point on St. Joe’s,Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:20 pm I would put it at
1. Richmond/St Joes
3/4. UMass/HPU
5. Bart
6. St Bonny
I’d like to think Bart will be more competitive in general but 23 is going to be a rebuild of the offense. Not sure HPU may not be up there either.
The NEC didn't get the credit it deserved. Bryant and St Joes were not easy outs in the NCAA tourney.10stone5 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 4:47 amOne other point on St. Joe’s,Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:20 pm I would put it at

as if they don’t have enough offense,
their leading scorer from a couple years back, Doran, is back,
don’t know if it was injury last year that kept him out or
something else.
RoMo was solid too before taking their talents to the Asun in its first season in the conference. Held up well vs UVA in what should’ve been our (Barts) game. Always felt like most years it wasn’t that far off the AE and CAA.oldbartman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 6:57 pmThe NEC didn't get the credit it deserved. Not just this year, Barts had four kids go to MD, Del, OSU (2). Two starters (Jason Knox and Justin Scott though Scott had to move to SSDM because Del had roster issues w health and suspensions (I think as well) that year). Holden was injured most of the year but played late effectively as a 2nd line middie in a bum knee and the fourth took over 100 draws at OSU and got them into the playoffs because ND was killing Ignasio and Blanchard came in and was better than 50% which flipped the playoff AL to them from ND, kid was 65% at Bart and Phi Theta Kapoa who went to OSU for program specific fifth year).DoubleD wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 12:49 pm Nope the NEC was underrated. Bryant and St Joes can play with many top schools and then LIU and Hobart battled with both of them. Some compared the NEC to the MAAC which the NEC was a lot stronger. I think the top 4 of the NEC could have been the same in the MAAC if it was all one division. Look how many kids from the NEC have transferred to top programs this yr. Was a lot of underrated talent there then u got St Joes who won the NEC and could end up in the top 10 this yr being in the CAA.
Exciting to see new programs coming to Amherst. Be interesting to see Richmond and High Point travel to the northern schools.10stone5 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 5:53 am St Bonnie’s 2023 schedule is up,

One of the best home ECAC games I went to after graduating was 2009 vs UMass. You’ll never convince me that the last goal in regulation was in regulation but rather a solid 3-5 seconds after or that Chris Pederson wasn’t slashed when he coughed up the ball late to allow UMass to tie it but regardless of those travesties of god it was a clinic between Doc and our very good goalie Mac Silberlicht with some great individual plays and high intensity on both sides. No more exciting 7-6 OT game is imaginable.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 10:17 pmExciting to see new programs coming to Amherst. Knew we had a couple of tight ones but scanning the recap that was the second straight OT game.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 10:51 pmYeah, so many great and tight games. Doc might have been used to those types of games dating back to Freshman year vs Cornell, then Hofstra in the NCAA's

Never thought UMass was getting past Hofstra in the playoffs though…
