Schedule is out. Scrimmages against Navy on Jan. 22, and Air Force/Mt Saint Mary's/High Point on Jan 29.

14 games and only 4 road games. Doesn’t seem right from a competitive balance. 4 out of 14 ? If it’s close w the tournament wouldn’t you consider this a lack of fairness?

This is called “you wanna play us in February or early March, then you come here.” I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t travel to Providence, Hamilton NY, Denver or Columbus to play in February if I didn’t have to.

Forget the 4 road games, they only leave the state twice.

This seems like smart scheduling to me. There are a lot of teams up north that are willing to travel to North Carolina for a February game.

Even though there are some veterans and superstars like Chris Gray on this team, I think the freshmen will be the biggest story for the 2022 Tar Heels. Watch out for Ryan Levy, Antonio Demarco, and Dewey Egan on offense, and Paul Barton on defense.

Any fanlax posters going to be at the Navy scrimmage on 1/22?

IL's write up on the Heels' scrimmage with Navy: https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/ ... epth/58815. Nice to read that the youthful talent at midfield contributed significantly.

Was really disappointed with unc against mount. For a team that is supposed to be a blue chip national contender they let mount hang around way to long- final score 11-10. I get they didn't have starters in the whole game but, realistic second string guys should still be able to stick it to a middle of the pack NEC school. I will say though was very impress with 42 on mount- from what I can tell is a red shirt junior who is stepping into the starting role. Had four goals and really was a leader out there and made some heads up plays.

I thought there were no fans allowed at the game or did they change it

Sure enough, Giblin with 5 goals vs. Navy...

Apparently Gravante hired his dad as AC which looks like a brilliant move.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Reminiscent of "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain": https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/ ... guys/58887. Let's hope that the talented but untested midfield matures quickly and that Krieg picks up where he left off last spring.

Watched some of the game last. I think Heels are more than fine at midfield (both schertzinger bros are great). Tillman had an off game but he can get by anyone. How the freshman defense comes together will determine how far this team goes.
