Or, I suppose, he could get work as the Pillsbury doughboy or the Michelin man. Too mean? I don’t know. Everyone’s got their Covid 15.

Alabama and Mississippi seemed like possibilities. You’d like to stay on the Gulf. Lots of good old boys to pal round with. A good bunch of crackers to make you feel at home. But if Alabama reelects Jones, that’ll be a no go. Mississippi was in the running until, darn it, they got rid of the stars and bars logo on their flag.

You’ve expressed an affinity for Sweden of late. I know you like to ski so there’s that. Not a lot of warm sunshine, but we all have to make sacrifices. You could put out a book comparing Swedish women to the girls of the SEC (you still have your old Playboys, right?). That should keep you occupied for a while.

If Sweden doesn’t work out, there’s always Russia.
Something tells me your pal, Donald, will end up there.

... I think there is a high probability.

All that is in that article is unsupported speculation. Not a whit of real evidence.

From mediabiasfactcheck:
Overall, we rate America Daily Questionable based on extreme right-wing bias, promotion of conspiracy theories and pseudoscience as well as a lack of transparency.

Is Biden “sundowning?”
I don't know.

But is Joe in even worse shape than Hillary was in 2016?

Because she was on death's doorstep back then. Seems to be doing a lot better now, though.

It is totally an opinion piece.

But do me a favor and check what media bias fact check says about Think Progress, Alternet, Occupy, Empty Wheel, Slate TYT, and a bunch of other opinion sites that get posted around here too.

Thanks!

Just to be clear, Empty Wheel Marcy Wheeler is a total lunatic who not only ratted out a source to the FBI (not exactly journalism 101 ethics), but the FBI determined that her ‘source’ was equally crazy and declined to pursue the case. Quote her at your peril.

Who IS fact checking the fact checkers? They don't even mention THE RISING....at all. Weak sauce, either way.

Ronnie Van Zandt don't need to tell me, or ya ll......about nothing.

Actually most of your list of sites to check are not ones I would use. (Think Progress, Alternet, Occupy in particular).

Slate: Overall, we rate Slate, moderately Left Biased based on story selection and editorial positions that favor the left and High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and a reasonable fact check record.

Emptywheel: Left-Center bias, and High on factual reporting. Also:
Notes: Empty Wheel is a news and opinion website founded by Marcy Wheeler who is best known for her coverage of the Scooter Libby trial. Empty Wheel presents news with a left center bias in reporting. Most stories favor the political left, but are always factually sourced. There is moderate use of loaded words, but not significant enough to classify this site as purely left biased.
Talking Points Memo: Overall, we rate Talking Points Memo (TPM) Left Biased based on story selection and editorial positions that frequently favor the left. We also rate them Mostly Factual in reporting due to proper sourcing of information and one failed fact check.

There are two of the sources on your list, plus one I use a fair amount of the time. Not a lot of evident problems...

Just checking.

I’m around here a lot. My point is, I don’t recall you ever complaining about those sites when Dis, Brookie and others quote them.

Wondering if it is slanted opinion pieces you don’t like or just slanted opinion pieces from the right?

I would comment if I thought that the sources were off base on a factual manner and they were sold as such (as opposed to an opinion piece).

What you posted was speculating about "facts" that were not evident. Not a true opinion piece.

Marcy Wheeler

By all appearances, Wheeler had to beg the FBI to pay attention to her because they treated her like the sort of unstable, unhinged, unwell, delusional obsessive who, believing they have uncovered some intricate conspiracy, relentlessly harass and bombard journalists with their bizarre theories until they finally prattle to themselves for all of eternity in the spam filter of our email inboxes. The claim that she was in possession of some sort of explosive and damning information that would blow the Mueller investigation wide open was laughable. In her post, she claimed she “always planned to disclose this when this person’s role was publicly revealed,” but to date — almost two years later — she has never revealed “this person’s” identity because, from all appearances, the Mueller report never relied on Wheeler’s intrepid reporting or her supposedly red-hot secrets.

Like so many other Russiagate obsessives who turned into social media and MSNBC/CNN #Resistance stars, Wheeler was living a wild, self-serving fantasy, a Cold War Tom Clancy suspense film that she invented in her head and then cast herself as the heroine: a crusading investigative dot-connecter uncovering dangerous, hidden conspiracies perpetrated by dangerous, hidden Cold War-style villains (Putin) to the point where her own life was endangered by her bravery. It was a sad joke, a depressing spectacle of psycho-drama, but one that could have had grave consequences for the person she voluntarily ratted out to the FBI. Whatever else is true, this episode inflicted grave damage on American journalism by having mainstream, Russia-obsessed journalists not denounce her for her egregious violation of journalistic ethics but celebrate her for turning journalism on its head.
