Next time, if there is a next time, Karen should at least put on a clean shirt.
Yeah, the mustard stain was the best part of this.

Read up on this couple. Speaking as a lawyer, I've seen and know this type. Total a-holes who are the kind that give us lawyers a bad name.

They've sued their neighbors multiple times. They've also sued members of their own family multiple times. They sued to keep gay couples out of their fancy neighborhood. They tore up the bee hives maintained by the synagogue adjacent to their house and threatened to sue the rabbi. They sued in order to buy their house in the first place.

well, as i surmised yesterday, by election time it's altogether possible the postal service should be a-ok doing their normal deal at least:

USPS chief says he is suspending some post office changes until after 2020 vote

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/18/usps-ch ... idappshare

everyone should breathe a sigh of relief.

south carolina looks like the one state i've seen where the combo of no universal mail in and no early voting stands out. (alabama, too, (and i'm sure there are a couple others) but i don't really consider them in play). anyone else?

That's why the position of the rifle & whether or not he had his finger on the trigger is relevant.
As gunowners, they accomplished what they intended. They kept the trespassers from coming further onto private property (the street & sidewalk were private property) & prevented them from carrying out the threats they were making. They weren't making the protesters leave their private community's property. They were defending their own property. The trespassers were directing specific threats at them.
Unfortunately for them the issue is not about endangering someone else. Missouri law doesn't mention endangering at all. You break the law if if you exhibit your gun in a threatening manner.

As gun owners they could have accomplished what they intended without breaking the law. Responsible gun owners do it all the time.

DeJoy just started in the job. He hasn't been there long enough to make significant changes.
The USPS is just acknowledging the delays caused by covid & giving the states fair warning as they plan for elections.
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/08/18/usps-ch ... idappshare

But The Washington Post reported last week that the Postal Service is warning states that it cannot guarantee all mail-in ballots will arrive in time to be counted in the presidential race. The letters were issued at the end of July and planned before DeJoy was selected as the new postmaster general, according to the newspaper.

False. New policies introduced by DeJoy include cessation of overtime, "work to rule" policies such as not picking up mail from boxes on a route once the time allotted for pickup has ended, etc etc etc.

It is these policies that are causing the backups.

What are the stats on the POTUS in the last 4 administrations saying anything like this:

"They need that money in order to have the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots. But if they don’t get those two items that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it.”

First of all, the DNC doesn't pick anyone. Same for the RNC. The primary voters do the picking in both parties.

Second, there were some inspiring D candidates: Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. Would you have been happier with one of them instead of Biden?

i picture swaths of americans, wandering the streets of the u.s.a. for 3 or 4 weeks on end... maybe without food or water or sleep... holding a vote in hand and no place to put it.

my god, i hope that doesn't happen. but at least throughout october, i'll know what it is when i see it.
