Of course, only two in conference games this
weekend, I think Hofstra will just consider the
off week as a plus, not try to get a last minute game, concentrate on fixing any issues, any injuries.

Weekend stream services,
Sat. Mar 6

1p.m. Towson at Drexel Men Dragons TV
NBC Sports Philly: https://stream.nbcsports.com/rsn/nbcs-philadelphia-plus
Dragon Stretch Internet: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/drexel/

4 p.m. Delaware at Fairfield Men Lax Sports Network

On the Drexel Towson game,
Milani the 2nd year has taken over for Chop Gallagher
at attack, the defense has tightened up, whether that is
a better rotation at defensive midfield or not, Shane Brennan had 18 saves in the Mount Saint Mary’s game.
For Drexel, Matt Varian is out, so looks like they’re
moving the midfielder from last year to attack, he
has teamed up well with Reid Bowering in the past,
Sean Quinn is their top defenseman, and their goalie
has been consistent if not spectacular.

I think the Tiger’s defense will be the key to keep this
game relatively low scoring.

Drexel is starting the Syracuse transfer at attack,
taking Matt Varian’s spot.

Really bad video feed,
if you have Firefox, that seems to work better
than Chrome.

Tigers dominating at face off,
but score is 4-3 Tigers,
a lot of new faces for Drexel.

12-10 Drexel,
why didn’t Syracuse play Sean Donnelly at all ?
Obviously, a good move by Voelker with this guy,
Donnelly with 4g, 3a in his debut.

Is there a link to Drexel-Towson highlights or a replay of today's game? Thanks.

There is,
but they screwed up the video,
only the 1st quarter is viewable,

I blame NBC Sports Philly,
I believe it was their video feed 👎

Sean Donnelly grows up in Bradenton, Florida, then goes first to IMG and then to Syracuse and ends up at Drexel? Now, that’s one hell of a recruiting coordinator the Dragons must have!

UD headed up to Connecticut yesterday and beat the Fairfield Stags pretty handily 17-9. Fairfield turned the ball over 22 times and struggled to score during settled 6 on 6. Three of the nine goals they scored were man-up and another three were scored in unsettled situations. Taylor Strough did a nice job getting open for time and room shots in transition. He is a deadly accurate shooter from up top. UD completely shut them down in the second half outscoring them 5-0 in the final quarter.

Owen Grant frustrated Dylan Beckwith all day, limiting the Stags star to just one assist on the game. Grant is clearly one of the top close defenseman in the nation and is averaging just under 5 CTs a game (which leads the D1). For some reason nobody talks about Grant though.

Anyway, the Hens attack unit flexed their muscles in this game and picked apart the Stags lumbering defense. Tye Kurtz had an eye-popping day with 5 goals 6 assists, MIchael Robinson had 4 goals and 3 assists and Charlie Kitchen was given credit for 5 goals and 2 assists (although one of those goals was actually Drew Lenkaitis on a put back). They are the best attack unit in the CAA. UMass is close with Connelly and Procyk, but these three guys are assassins.

Coach Baxter was the defensive guru at Yale, but as head coach of Fairfield has yet to figure out how to keep opposing teams under 16 goals a game. I expect that they will be better when the Hens face the Stags in four weeks, but they have a lot of work to do.

Next week's game between UD and Drexel should be a good one. Dragons looked good against a pretty stout Towson defense and won despite getting dominated at the face-off X. Can't wait.

Glad to see Delaware looking good! The coach is an under-rated Cornellian.

While I root for the Hens, I don't think that the Stags have played their best yet (having just turned around from an all-out game again Providence). The rematch should be interesting.

Good luck to the Hens.

I agree that Fairfield will get stronger as the season progresses. They have a very talented offensive unit. But I do think Baxter is going to have to recruit his own guys on defense. It may take a couple years to figure that out. His starting close defense is made up of two graduate transfers from St. Lawrence and Mercyhurst and a fifth year senior. That seems like a bit of a patchwork for a second-year coach.

I believe UMass has not practiced in a month and have yet to play a game. Does anyone know when then will resume athletics?

At this point Hofstra and Delaware appear to be the favorites.

They are scheduled for Fairfield next weekend. They’ve rescheduled Albany for Tuesday the 23rd and Hofstra for Tuesday the 30th.

Ryan Tierney, Alex Concannon, Justin Lynskey also, a guy from the Island, Hopkins, Holy Cross. I had reservations that the chemistry would be there, Tierney and Dylan
McIntosh definitely had that connection - but this hasn’t
been the case, that combination has worked well.

And, on Delaware and their attack unit, its nice to have
Mark Bieda still contributing off the bench, coming in as
an extra middie which I guess is what he’s doing mostly
now.
