Yeah, I saw you were online, so I decided to poke fun.

I suppose every fan base has at least one village idiot.

Next.
How much referee help did UVA get in their Championship run last season?

If Hop has so much ref help how did we lose to Ohio State at Homewood? No way that should happen with all the former Hop players wearing stripes.

JHU is the fourth best team in the state. We need way more referee help in 2020.

Sadly, that is true, I do not speak for Loyola writ large.

However, on the plus side, I do speak for the entire lacrosse universe wishing a speedy relegation of Johns Hopkins to Division 3, where the program's strengths would be a more comfortable fit!

https://hub.jhu.edu/2019/08/22/class-of ... e-numbers/

63% are students of color (including 31% who are Asian)
14% are international students.
54% are women
98% were in the top ten percent of their class
Median SAT of around 1515 out of 1600

In the days that Wombat and I were prowling around campus, the numbers were probably around:

25% students of color
5% international students
45% women
80% in the top ten percent
Median SAT of our class was 1286

:o

Hopkins is a much more diverse and interesting place to go to school these days!

It's amazing that all these top schools still use the racist SAT.
You can take the ACT instead as my son did.

I probably forget something I should have included
drcthru mentioned it. There are now 1300+ undergraduate students in each entering class instead of 1800 in the whole school. AMRs I and II don't have enough rooms to hold the whole freshman class, let alone the whole school.

Our b1g rivals have the benefit of the next 8 months of having their revenue sport campuses+alumni on tv/internet every day. Some guy named brady, a fella named zion, a coach named bennett, some kid named rudy, his airness. Program needs visibility for recruits. I think they should make a huge social media splash out of the october alumni weekend beyond the grainy photos from up in the press box, some sports and programs are phenomenal (the new york yankees, the red sox, usc football, miami football) at showcasing their alumni/the legacy they left and how the current generation of players draw from it so that recruits, current students/future students can see more clearly the fraternity they're joining and I'm not just talking rabil/harrison. Some goalie with schwartzman in front of the crab talking about wanting to be the next guy in net who brings a title back. I also think they should steal a page from duke hoops next spring which lists the program alumni in attendance at each home game. Show the kids in pictures and video what they say in numbers and words.

Onto our next favorite fall game-studying new season rosters to see who they added w/out telling us!

Not a B1G rival, but yesterday, the announcers broke from an otherwise noncompetitive game to interview Johnny Lujack (ND Heisman Trophy 1947).

And who might have dipped out. There's always one or two...

On the topic of roster size, this freshman class is 18 deep, per Forry in that video on Instagram (4 attack, 6 middies, 6 poles, 1 goalie, 1 FO, per my count). Nobody tell 51, he might have a stroke. Especially when you consider we're only losing 7 guys that we know of (6 seniors + Cattoni). So barring unexpected transfers in or out or more attrition than usual, the roster is getting 11 guys bigger. Final tally should be slightly over 50.
