And I wonder, does the House even have to send it to the Senate? Seems to me that the politics of holding the Big Show in the House is all the D's really need to do. Why send it to the Senate for the negative aspect of their Big Show?

Well, a reason to send this to the Senate is to put those numbnuts on public notice and draw them out into the debate and force a public position. A formal impeachment process will likely bring out some VERY hard truths and some VERY clear wrongdoing. Senate R's will have a very hard choice to make, are they more afraid of the Trump Base, or of the voting public in general? Will they be on the right side of history, or will they be consigned to the dustbin of said history?

Transcripts are not enough - need to see whistleblower report and ideally actual recording of phone conversation. You can hide tone and emphasis via a transcript, and it is fairly obvious that the one phone call is not the only operative action here. For example, the hidden holding up of the money Congress had authorized, with bogus reasons to do so (to the point when meeting with Senator Murphy of CT the new president of Ukraine complained about the holdup...).
And there does NOT have to be a specific quid pro quo in such phone call - the holdup of the money is more than enough as the "hammer" in the extortive attempt to get Ukraine to gin up an investigation and manufacture dirt on Biden.

Not necessarily altered, but missing tone and emphasis - recording if available would be better. Also not the complete picture - this phone call alone is not all of the effort for Trump and his cronies to get Ukraine to assist his campaign. Trump did not need to say anything on the phone call about the money - the Ukraine government knew it was appropriated, and would see the delay as a direct message.
Good analogy - you are a mob boss and you hang someone you want to pressure off the ledge of a building. Then while holding him you say I would like you to sell me your house at 10% of its value. You don't need the "or else" to get the point across...
You need the whistleblower to meet with the House IC in closed session (or even in open) to find out more of the story.
