If any of those Governors actually exhibited the sorts of fascist tendencies outside of a response to a public health emergency, that would be alarming for sure.

But you're not making the claim that those 10 points above could be checked as pertaining to their general use of power, are you?

same response.

Give me your 10 point checklist (from above), away from specific to the public health crisis.

“Can you displace a mayor?” Cuomo mused. “Yes, a mayor can be removed. It has not happened. I cannot find a precedent. But theoretically it is legally possible. It is a bizarre thing to try to do in this situation. I think it would only make a bad situation worse. Also, I don’t think it’s necessary.”

Cuomo needs a 4K person "socal distancing" committee formed before allowing indoor dining:

Did you watch and listen to the video?

First of all, the guy is not with the press. Second, he didn’t have a press pass. Third, the Governor’s press conferences were all streamed live. I watched many of them.

Lastly, kind of ironic that this guy claims he to be from some “Second Amendment” outfit, but is bothered by the guns around him. He’s one of those types who was upset that gun stores were closed for a short while during the pandemic.

If you always recall a very prescient point, to find the fascist, just scratch the liberal.

It's always been that way, but until now, they had no means of silencing conservative dissent. Nowadays with social media, they are modern day Jacobins.

The software engineers at Twitter and Google etc...are (obviously) liberal and they force others to embrace their ways or else; also, they are not overseen by any serious person... It's only when the boneheadedness gets too idiotic to keep ignoring do the serious executives get involved.

Check out this Google engineer:

ROGER STONE’S CALL FOR DONALD TRUMP TO STEAL THE ELECTION SIMPLY CONTINUES HIS EFFORTS FROM 2016
...as of April, there were court filings targeting Roger Stone that invoked conspiracy and Foreign Agent charges that remained substantially redacted, presumably because the investigation was ongoing. The most recent BuzzFeed FOIA release (which leaves unredacted or redacts under privacy claims materials that in past releases were redacted for ongoing investigations) seems to reflect that any ongoing investigation has been finished or killed by Billy Barr. That’s not surprising, given that Barr’s intervention in Stone’s sentencing led the four prosecutors who had been working the case to resign. But it also means that if Trump is replaced by someone unwilling to save him from prison time, lapsed investigations (with statutes of limitation that extend at least until 2021) might become active again.

Roger Stone has already shown a willingness to sell out this country to get his friend Donald Trump elected. And since 2016, he has grown closer to sanctioned white supremacist groups sowing violence. Now, his freedom likely depends on finding a way to help Trump eke out another win. And Roger the rat-forker has been training to thwart democracy his entire adult life.

The Trumpublicon Party is an authoritarian outlier

"Republicans shut down the government in the 1990s and impeached President Bill Clinton over far less than what Trump has done in office. Under Obama, they fanned the flames of birtherism, held the global economy hostage to force spending cuts, and elevated obstructionism to the level of governing principle.

At the state level, they have rewritten electoral rules to block Democrats from voting and seized power from Democratic governors after they have won elections. Just this week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed a bill that would effectively criminalize anti-police violence protests — and protect drivers who ran over protesters with their cars."

"...protect drivers who ran over protestors with their cars..."?? What the heck??

They really DO want a serious fight here, don't they?

Scary comedy.

You should vote for them; I hear they're also 'principled conservatives'.

I do get to vote for one of them in November and will be pleased to do so.

The whirlwind is coming.
