jfc, I'm on here proposing this novel idea that Democrats don't like America at the margin and the usual suspects say I'm hypocritical for saying that cause something something something, and here we are (thanks 6ft), a NYT column saying exactly that, in his indirect way. That 'America is not that great'.
I'm standing here on a porch looking out on a beautiful white sand beach, with acoustic music playing in the background, using 5G technology to type stupidly into an online lacrosse forum, no fear of government retribution no matter what I write, knowing that really smart people are going 24/7 finding cures for this virus, thinking how incredibly awesome this country is.
I can't imagine writing anything close to what this guy writes; my #1 thought right now is I can not wait for the July 4th parade this year.
Please let the board know, Democrats, how much this guys offends or attracts you.

Nevermind that the US did no real or effective screening on pretty much anyone coming back into the US.
