CONGRATULATIONS. Really happy for that group of kids and especially happy for Ryan Conrad. That team has great spirit.

Tiffany's team played to win and never quit. I'm a Terp's fan but I'm a lacrosse fan first and UVA plays the way lacrosse should be played.
Congrats !!

Look at all the most recent Forum members (at the bottom of the page). Lots of usernames with the word "hoos" in it. :)

So Craig Littlepage hired
Bennett
Bronco
and Tiffany. Then retired. Major hats off to the former AD Littlepage.

Hello from a new poster with Hoos in his name. Greetings.

That was a helluva final four, we can all agree on that.

I didn't join to gloat, although I was pretty hacked off by the sanctimony on another thread. Always respect your opponent, and respect the game. Best team won, and it was clear and thorough.

GO HOOS! Natty #27!

Littlepage doesn't get the credit he truly deserves for taking a decent but not great athletic department and making bold moves to win championships up and down the line. It was time for him to go, and then of course there was his episode in football that really was pretty ugle (still recovering, but getting there).

I hope UVA gives him plenty of credit, along with the coaches he hired.

Congrats to Lars, his staff and the team. Best performance by UVA's defense all year, and they were relentless in pressuring the ball all over the field. As noted above, they played lacrosse the way it should be played.

Hoos, to be fair, undeniably there are sanctimonious folk within the forum but... They're a minority. i.e. Don't paint with too broad a stroke. In general, the FanLax Forum Folk are relatively sane, relatively well-mannered. But back to the hoos...

Talent doesn't always win but... It helps a LOT. Even when they were losing, there wasn't a lacrosse fan worth their weight in salt who didn't know that UVA was stacked. Certainly on O and in goal. And, while other teams are similarly stacked, It's hard not to remember the names on the field today from their HS days and... Lars recruited numerous Grade A horses.

Hopefully more coaches will now buy in to letting their players play and not handcuffing them.

Congratulations UVA! Lars assistant at Brown and now at UVA had a vision a long time ago of what the game could look like if played differently than what most have played and coached for half a century. Kudos for the teamwork by the staff and team.

They are a terrific group of young men.Kraus's dad Steve and his uncles grew up across the street from me.Steve moved Michael et.al, to Connecticut.Nonetheless,I consider Michael a "townie". I feel bad for Jack Tigh. He's another "townie" whose extended family includes a group of very good lacrosse players and athletes.

I believe this marks a new dawn and a new day and I'm confident it will continue.Tiffany has made many of the necessary "cultural" changes that were sorely needed. He has lived up to the tenets he spoke of in his interview.

Congrats Lars, staff, players, and 'Hoos nation. D today played like they were meeting the elementary school lunch-money stealing bully after 5 years of working out in a mean boxing gym.

Today UVa was the better team. Congratulations to Lars and his staff, to the Virginia players and alumni, to family, friends and fans of the program. Well done, national champions.
