The way things stand, Blue Jays are the fourth best team in the B1G. The three teams ahead of them are all in the top ten nationally.
Blue Jays were not a good team for much of the season, but they are probably somewhere around 12th to 16th right now. May not be enough to play a competitive game against Maryland, but few have this season.
They play the games for a reason, so Beat Maryland!

How about we just win 2 games next week and be the first best team in the big ten.DocBarrister wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 3:43 pm The way things stand, Blue Jays are the fourth best team in the B1G. The three teams ahead of them are all in the top ten nationally.

Re: Big Ten 2022
Epstein’s stats look pretty good from the first league tournament game against PSU. 3 unassisted goals and a couple of GBs. Seems like he is back on track and can put up good numbers in big games. If he stays at Hopkins, Milliman needs to mend fences, and quickly to set up a good run in 2023. If he departs, who are the leading candidate schools?

This was linked in the Rutgers thread but it's equally important to every B1G school. The conference is on the precipice of signing what will be a historic tv rights deal. Congratulations to all member schools.

It’s not going to impact lacrosse that money is going right to football and basketball. All leading to an eventual split of the power 5 from the rest of D1 in football.1766 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 3:04 pm This was linked in the Rutgers thread but it's equally important to every B1G school. This isn't true. Not at Rutgers anyway. It is certainly true that Football and Basketball will get the lion share of the spoils, but lacrosse, along with other sports are in line for new facilities. Some of these revenues will be used for that. Among other things.InsiderRoll wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 3:22 pmIt’s not going to impact lacrosse that money is going right to football and basketball. Don't worry, $100MM/yr. cures a lot of ills. President Holloway recently came out with a very clear statement. Athletics at Rutgers are going to be even more invested in.
Re: Big Ten 2022
hopkins' rpi is 21 before their loss. why are announcers selling a win over the hop as top 20 for both teams?
Re: Big Ten 2022
mark dixon has no idea how rpi works or even how it stands.

Still feeling that confident about NCAA for Rutgers? They may be ranked 3rd or 4th in some arbitrary pole but they are not the 3rd or 4th best team in the country. I fully expect them to get knocked out of the tournament by one of the teams mentioned above but will admit it if I'm wrong1766 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 6:05 pmDuke lost to Loyola and Jacksonville. ND? Who have they beat? Certainly not Ohio St. who Rutgers beat in convincing fashion. Uva? Richmond took them down. Princeton beat Rutgers on their homefield. That's one of Rutgers two loses. The other is to Maryland.masondixonlax wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 10:12 pmRutgers barely just handled Penn state and Michigan. I would bet on any of the Ivies that make the tournament (yes I know they beat Princeton early in the season but don't see that happening again), MD, Gtown, UVA, Duke, and Notre Dame to beat Rutgers if they faced in the tournament.
Maryland is the cream of the crop. Georgetown I can't comment on but Rutgers is ranked 3 for a reason. They are winning games. 12-2 with two very good loses if you will. Outside of Georgetown and Maryland, no other team can say that.

Best of luck to the B1G teams that made the dance!

Nick Myers, who is in his 14th year leading the men’s lacrosse program, is the program’s all-time winningest coach and his teams have earned four NCAA Tournament berths during his tenure, including a first-round NCAA matchup this season vs. Cornell. He will receive a new, five-year contract through the 2027 season.
