IMPOTUS Liar in Chief has done basically nothing on these statements, and it has been a month since he made the declaration.

"Later in that March 13 press conference, when asked whether he took responsibility for the apparent lag in coronavirus testing in the United States, the president responded, "I don't take responsibility at all.""

Nope. One person demonstrates that social distancing obviously works. I can't get the virus if I'm nowhere near someone who has it.

But you don't want to hear about science or logic, so you change the subject, as usual.

Great. So explain how it is you think I'm going to get the virus when I haven't been within 20 feet of another human being for four months, outside of the people living in my home, and counting. And anything that enters my home is wiped down with alcohol.

Go ahead. Take you time. Then tell me that social distancing doesn't work.

You, or other household members, enter grocery stores?

If entering grocery stores, do they wear PPE's ?

Four months? Man, you can't even get your dates/timing correct. It's April 13th, you've stayed away for people , outside of your home, since December 13th?

Yes, or no. Is social distancing 100% the reason why the deaths aren't coming close to the "science" and it's "predicktions" ?

I could attempt, to explain, that the downward trend is similar to why other virus' , like H1N1, kind of didn't take off either.....that most humans are pretty damn resilient to these horrible strains.

Yup....I remember previous BUSH administration people being concerned about the chinese open "wet" markets. Shut them down, the Bush/Cheney cries went. And went unheard.

The point is that taking in the whole mosaic of life and death for 340 million people it might be easier to decide to return to normal than some people think. And a lot faster than the second half or 2021.

Plus half the deaths in the US come from just one city.
Six -- so what is your recommended solution? Whose example should we be following as an alternative to USA current plan?

Should we have gone Sweden or UK? They went slower, later and easier, and dabbled with the herd immunity plan for a time. So far, they've done much worse than the USA, and they are still climbing up to the peak.

Or should we have gone SK (testing testing testing), Austria, Czech Republic (#masks4all)? Hit it early and hard. Fewer deaths than the USA, now over the peak, and are already starting to re-open.

Saying the current level of USA deaths proves over-reaction has a big logical flaw. Because you are not seeing the results of the path not taken. Without the restrictions, deaths would have been 5X worse? Maybe 10X worse? What would you say if the deaths were 600k instead of 60k?

Kind of like saying speed limits, seat belts and air bags are unnecessary. I mean look at how much lower traffic deaths are today as compared to what they used to be?

Passenger travel on flights in the US is now at about 3.7 percent of normal.

BREAKING NEWS:

On Sunday, Apr. 12, 90,510 travelers came through @TSA checkpoints nationwide.
Exactly one year earlier, 2,446,801 individuals were screened at security checkpoints across the country.

It’s another new low.

Six -- for reference. USA is projected to have 60k deaths -- that's 187 per million of pop.

UK projected to get to 560. That level would be 180k USA deaths.

Sweden projected to get to 1,296. That level would be 416k USA deaths. Doing nothing was projected to be 2 million USA deaths.

TBD what the evidence will turn out to be on whether the late/easy approach will be any less harmful economically. Seems like Germany did a good job of limiting the virus and limiting economic damage. My guess is that those two things will wind up being aligned rather than opposed.

Which one are you saying we should pick?

Good for camping world too. I mean it’s a great offer (lemonis has offered a few thousand to NY) and helpful contribution which can’t be dismissed but think of the fact that they’re getting a high net worth target market audience to live in or use these things like a free week in a time share plus all the data obtained on said potential customer base.

I recall a retired investment banker friend in NYC who’d do random different deals and back during Katrina he and a friend partner bout 500 used rail cargo containers for around $2,000 each retrofit then for like $5-$7k into small housing type units and rented them to FEMA on rolling leases for $1,000/mo/unit. He was paid back inside of a year and made ultimately with selling them the units 7x in 30mo. But it did help alleviate some housing needs in Louisiana too which was good

Sweden up to 89 deaths per 1M pop. The other country that tried the laid back herd approach (for a short time) was UK -- up to 156 per pop. You could move there too if you are trying to avoid totalitarian fear porn conspiracies.

Scoreboard from the fear porn/conspiracy countries: USA 67, Denmark 47, Norway 24, Finland 10.

And Austria (39), Denmark (47) and the Czech Republic (13), having seized their citizens' civil liberties conspiratorially with fear porn, appear to be freely giving those liberties back now. They are starting to lift their lock downs while Sweden appears to be finally getting around to imposing one.

Personally, I'm considering a move to Finland. "Pantsdrunk" sounds like a lot of fun, and it seems to keep the Covid at bay!!
Finland has like 27 min a day on avg of sunlight (hyperbole but it sucks having lived in Conoehagen through a winter when it’s light maybe 10-10:30am to 3pm. It’s been a while but last I heard Finland has the highest suicide rate in the world. I think you meant Iceland and pants drunk here.

Well let's have a look at your last post to me.

So you moved on to multiple things, that as usual, make zero sense and come out of nowhere:

-"intelligence briefings", I assume you're talking about COVID here, but who the h*ll knows?
-Nate Silverstein. Real pertinent to the discussion at hand
-9/11. That's even MORE pertinent to the top at hand

-WHO. Now at least this MIGHT be pertinent. But I have no idea how because you just threw them in, vaguely mentioning a timeline.
-Trump. Yep, he's our president. But I didn't bring him up once in this conversation you and I are failing to have.

-------------
None of the above has ANYTHING to do with social distancing, which is what we're discussing. Or at least TRYING to discuss.

Get it? You do this EVERY TIME. No one has any clue what you're talking about here. All we know is that no matter what the topic, everyone here is wrong. And when anyone asks you a question, you go off the rails again, mention a bunch of things that have nothing to do with anything, and make fun of everyone. And then change the subject.
