When do we reach a point where people who have been scared chitless on a daily basis will get over the shell shock and feel safe going out in public again?
When our government has a reasonable plan going forward, and the materials to execute the plan.
We don't have enough ANYTHING right now. PPE, masks, thermometers, Covid tests, and on and on.
I promise you that even the biggest libertarian governor in the country (and I have no clue who that is) understand this, and knows doggone well that we can't get moving without those things, coupled with a cohesive plan going forward.
There is no plan. And we don't have the materials needed to execute the plan.
Picture what happens when we have to choose whether or not to open schools/Universities this fall. Better have a vaccine by then, is all I have to say.
Six months away.....
we'll have ppe and masks. thermometers, i'd guess too.
tests? questionable at best. doesn't seem to be the priority it should. maybe rhetoric and it changes.
seems there is a real pent up demand to get back out there now and it's april 12. think of what that would be in may given the velocity of this.
republicans, those in need of making their living with expedience, young folks who are teflon vs this virus...
it is not all coming back immediately as was, but i suspect given green lights by anyone some large group of folks are jumping.

Our family took a nice drive today and just returned from a few hour stroll, throwing the football, searching for sharks teeth, sea glass, shells, and drift wood while strolling the beaches at Scientists' Cliffs.
Interesting comment from one of of sons while we were all just standing on the beach looking out over the bay on this beautiful, sunny, and breezy day .... "Hey Dad, maybe Mother Earth is healing herself and this is what it took". I just smiled and said....I bet you are right. I have not heard anyone mention anything like this...but have seen plenty of comments and photos where people are recognizing the lack of pollution in their cities.

Not in two weeks, we're not. Ask around. Nowhere near what's needed.
Again, I'm at a distillery on freaking Easter Sunday, making things that mass production is supposed to handle with ease......away from my family, because shortages are so severe. We're STILL getting calls from around the State for sanitizer. My dinky plant isn't designed to do this.
And yep, folks are champing at the bit to get out. A dangerous, dangerous attitude that could easily squander all the sacrifices that we've made to get this thing under control.

All of these old people are dying of the flu unless you test the corpse for Covid. Never mind the other 5 dead bodies in the home tested positive a few days before.
THEY, say, electronic social interactions, as seen on TV (geared to the coming of age boomers.... )

Watching that last breath on TV......so similar to holding them on their deathbeds.

that social distortion is 100% the reason why the deaths ain't happening. And yet, the very same "re$earch" group that apparently no one actually knows, but, refers too often, or always....I am not sure. Regardless, they are the wizard in Kansas (she nevah left, tripping) , the death count fear porn. same language as the nonsense climate change. Lots of "coulds", " potential's", "if", should, etc.
W.H.O. is corrupt, some say. Yet, they are the ones calling the shots ? Influenced 184 Nations to do what.
I have no idea. Assume, they are. corrupt. maybe not figure skating judges, but the WHO members won't do well with a good spray of raid, aka UN investigations. (based on the long ago posted televideo conference, & Frontline going anti-China , when they could have sat on it for a while longer....but they didn't.
we ready to follow the money yet?
