World Series fans booed Trump on the day he made a bizarre, partisan announcement of the Baghdadi mission.

There were no spontaneous celebrations at West Point. No joyful celebrations in front of the White House. There certainly weren’t any shouts for joy at the baseball stadium. If Trump thought he would bask in the kind of admiration and jubilation that followed Obama’s termination of Osama bin Laden, then he must have been bitterly disappointed.

Fact is, Nixon ended active U.S. military operations in Vietnam and that wasn’t even close enough to save him from Watergate. The Baghdadi mission won’t do much for Trump. Come Monday morning, the focus will once again be on the House Impeachment Inquiry, just where it belongs.

The WaPo article said it all - Washington is “Democrat-dominated”. An entire stadium filled with TDSers. The only way Trump would have ever been applauded there is if the Jumbotron showed him drinking something laced with arsenic. DeGeneres is right. Unfortunately that’s the America we live in today.

FACT - There was lots of celebrating in a little enclave on an army post just outside of Fayetteville, NC, but it was a quiet celebration by quiet professionals. The preference of most of them is really good bourbon.
