Matt Moore in this case.
Matt Moore who Frank Urso called the best player he ever coached at Garnet Valley — with the game winner, a no-doubter.

And.
Conrad sure played like a first team All American in the 4th quarter.
Actually, Conrad played a great game throughout. GB's, shooting, assisting, riding, clearing, defense.
But the 4th Q he put'em on his back and the team responded.

Pity that the controversy marred the ending a bit, but (thankfully) the earlier Bernhardt goal wasn't the difference either.
I could not be happier for Ryan Conrad. Love him.. tough as nails...
Love the black cleats. Reminds me of when Riddell's and Spotbilt black cleats were king.
Yes! until Puma all whites I believe. We wore red and black unis in HS and the Riddels with the red sole were the best
Ryan was a soccer player....I love those combo soccer/lacrosse players....Steele was one too!

MOLO:Who will win most of the face-offs? Is LaSalla ok? Recently, Janek, a reserve dm, has emerged as Maryland's top face-off man, but both Hennigsen and Shockey have looked strong at times.
LaSalla and Hennigsen went to L.I. high schools,44 miles apart.Nice to see 2 "locals" face off at Hofstra.Pretty even results...until the 4th quarter.Petey stepped up....big time.

Terp fans sure are salty, talking about their team and coach’s class behavior but whining about and slamming Lars for his postgame interview. I agree with them about Tillman but The irony of it all with their rep. I cant imagine Lars wasn’t gracious. Has anyone seen the post game interview with him? No one from Virginia called the game, cheated or made any dirty plays. I mean really........

Let’s not label too broadly, right?

Seems to me that Tillman handled the unfortunate situation well, as did a number of players who commented.

And quite a few Terp fans have as well.

It really was a shame that the game, any game, was marred by a reffing decision, or set of decisions.

But this is simply a reality of an imperfect world, especially in the binary world of sports in which one team wins and advances and the other loses and goes home.

It’s a powerful life lesson that the ball sometimes bounces your way, sometimes it does not.

How you handle both victory, but especially defeat, is the true test of character. Most of the Terp folks handled their challenge well, IMO.

Love the pics of the Riddell coaches shoes.
If I remember right it black Riddell's and some flashy players liked those all white Spot-bilts.
Remember coach's shorts ?

I'm at the team hotel. Healthy looking young men clogging up the elevators. Told them to tell Lars he's an idiot for leaving Molloy in against Hop in '16. Laughter.

matt moore, snubbed by Inside Lacrosse's list of AA's and only an HM AA with USIlA, is two points from tying Doug knight's record for most points in a single season - he's at 84 with 42 goals and 42 assists...not bad for a second year

DUKE Understood what IL has no idea about. Their AA best pole, Harris, marked Moore over other AA options much of the game and he was still effective.
