I'm a fan of Mullin, saw him play numerous times, but no, he wasn't the top prospect. But Rutgers fans should be glad to have him, very steady, quiet hands and big presence. Lots of proven experience. 50-51% career. Yes, a big plus...whether he gets the nod as the starter or simply mentors the freshman.
Frankly, I'm surprised that Kyle chose Rutgers for grad school. Would have thought there'd be other options.
