The start of fall semester will be here before you know it. With only 22’ 6th years of Kennedy and Reynolds having exhausted all of their eligibility, who returns for a 6th / who returns for a 5th? Any ideas?
Rumor has it that one of those 22’s pulled out
Who? Spill the beans.

If you are expecting a lot of the seniors to return you will be disappointed

Nah, TBH I kind of want to see all this young talent get their shot. Plenty of upperclassman experience will be there, I’m just trying to envision the roster.

The goalie Nash Womack is very good, he should be a multi year starter.
That is a bold statement as From what I understand the really like last years freshman.

Very excited to see the young poles as they start to gain some real minutes next year. I would imagine the Briegel will get a long look with the first group but so not be surprised if Biava slides into one of those starting spots as a close defender and Rutledge as a second LSM. I know that losing Kennedy is a big deal but so was losing Nation last year
Lots of pieces on offense but I know the staff liked Burbank at attack before his injury. While the 2022 class gives York size and position flexibility.

Adding depth at the faceoff X is important as they have struggled to have enough depth there.

This list puts the incoming class at 17.
There are 15 sr and gr from last season. I doubt all of them are done. So unless any returning players don’t return, the team should have over 50 on the roster

I checked past rosters and york was always in the low to mid 40s for roster size. 2022 jumped up to 49. Most of the coaches we talked to in the recruiting process, said they like to keep roster numbers under 50, so the entire team can fit on a bus and travel to all games. This team is looking to carry over 50 this season (unless some don’t return, or they have cuts).

I can’t imagine more than 1 or two gr kids will be on the team this season. I wonder if the coaching staff knows of some under class that might not be returning. 17 is a large recruiting class for a team that is planning on gr students returning.

I know little to nothing about Yorks goalie depth chart. But I know a lot of schools expressed interest in Womack. I’ve seen him live several times and he projects very well as a high level D3 goalie.

Without being a jerk, if you were listening or reading my past post you would have a good idea. But suffice to say there will be two on offense and 1 on defense. That is as of right now, there are a couple of kids, I think, still contemplating.

You never said who the decommit was? You can give us a hint? Position, where is he from?

I did a little looking and only 4 kids do not have a York mention on there Social media.

Ok, I am not hearing that on my side but I am not quite as in the loop with the kids coming in. I really like our incoming offensive players and would love to keep them all but some of these kids are coming a long way for college and that may be a factor.

This was the reason I heard. Distance.

Going far away to college isn’t for everyone.

That’s too bad the kid looked like he had talent and certainly had the size to play early. If it is true that he is not coming

Yes indeed. I believe his connectlax account still has him committed to York. Hopefully it’s just rumor mill stuff, but if the roster numbers were going to be an issue then it is what it is.

Hopefully, he has a change of heart or it is in fact just rumor mill stuff, the offensive recruits in this class look really good.
