All these programs / apps are dangerous to society because Americans aren't mature enough to make use of them intelligently. Scumbags / conmen / salesmen like it that way. The fewer protections the better, the easier to shear the sheep. Parler seems to be the worst of a bad lot.
He's right, but it wasn't a quote far as I could tell.

Was watching a progressive political commentary show on You Tube in which they discussed Parler. Quite a number of progressives have created accounts on that ultra reich wing site which claims it believes in unrestricted free speech. Strangely (no, not really) many members of the non reich wing bent have reportedly been banned for daring to stray from the deranged fascist viewpoint.
Parler = politically correct far reich delusionalism.

Re: Parler
I created an account on Parler.
Fake name, disposable email addy, obviously a guy who didn't want to be held to account in the real world for what I posted online.
I made an opening post filled with promises that Trump would win the election because of all the reasons Giuliani and Powell toss over the airwaves, but I promised a happy ending and indicated that I knew stuff that hasn't been made publicly available. The classic but tired conspiracy theory launching pad. Total BS, but I tried to sound informed. I had a quiet weekend, after all.
On Facebook, what I wrote would have been torn down and I would have been settled into FB jail for a month. My friends would have challenged my conclusions until this happened. I mean, I really sailed beyond the pale.
On Parler, I had about thrice the likes I've ever earned on Facebook, where I have 300 real friends. More agreeable comments than I've ever seen on FB (and I never replied to any of the Parler comments). I was suddenly super popular!
It appears to me that the Parler demographic is eager for a believable way to keep Trump in office, and they're gonna be pist once it becomes clear that Trump is gonna be a normal citizen with Secret Service security (if he opts for it) and lots of legal troubles and a dwindling bank account. His fans are gonna have to go to the internet to follow news from Newsmax and OAN to get encouragement. They'll have to pay for a subscription sooner or later, and rallies will sell tickets. Trump fandom will be monetized just like rock band fandom is.
I thought that this would spell the end of Trumpism, but now I'm not so sure.

Just wait 'til you conservatives have real choices for real, smart, responsible Conservative Republican leadership that will actually govern like you want.
And TrumpNation picks more people like Trump instead. Because YOU told them that that's what you wanted.
Re: Parler
Oh, I think it's a GREAT idea for FoxNation and some of the posters here to egg these people on, and tell them that our elections are fraudulent without a whit of evidence.3rdPersonPlural wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 11:06 pm Oh, I hate to post twice in a row, but this is what popped up in my recent visit:

They will vote in the primaries as he orders and behave as he prescribes. This means 50 million or so well armed and less-than-thoughtful cultists eager to be rebellious nationwide. And they're completely capable of directing the republican party because they're numerous and active and established. This party is going to become increasingly the party of trump, which is a long term recipe for political disaster.
I would be delighted if some competent conservative gathered the tropes that Trump stumbled upon, and rode this movement to a strong run for the white house in 2024. But does anyone think that Trump will allow someone to earn the glory promised by his cult?
Nope.
Trump will be in the primary in 2023. Unless it is one of his idiot sons, he will not endorse anyone else. If we think he's over the edge now, just give him 4 years of frustration and a dwindling fan base and legal troubles and financial crises.
Real republicans will be aghast at this. But the voter base is the ultimate vote so Trump will be the R candidate in 2024 unless good luck intercedes.

Methinks Gary was sitting downtown in the railway station one toke over the line when he wrote all that. Sweet Jesus, Gary, you've got your nuts all twisted up and are going to gather up a bunch of like minded folks totin' guns and fight, fight, fight at the Capitol. Turnabout is not considered fair play among the 2nd amendment people who support Trumpism.

Oh you're definitely going to end up watching a German video of women drinking unspeakable things from glasses on a site like that. But I meant have some fun with the name. Sully Sullinger or John Cocktosin or Lacey Underall or Dr Rosenpenis etc. Have some fun with it while the Trojan horse ruins your computer, and likely your appetite, for a while.

I don't know if this what you meant, but I read it as Medlin not being 3PP but rather some nutcase that popped into his feed. I read it as 3PP has another made up moniker..of course I may have misread.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Mon Nov 30, 2020 12:12 pm Oh you're definitely going to end up watching a German video of women drinking unspeakable things from glasses on a site like that.
