A former FBI employee who accused the bureau of politicizing its work when he testified to Congress has seen his security clearance restored, his lawyers said Tuesday.

Marcus Allen was one of three men who alleged overreach and retaliation by the FBI in May 2023 testimony to a special House committee investigating what Republicans call the “weaponization” of the federal government against conservatives.

His security clearance had been revoked over concerns about how his views of the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021, affected his work, according to a letter the FBI sent to Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the Republican chairman of the committee.

Allen’s clearance was restored after the concerns were investigated and “sufficiently mitigated,” according to a letter from the FBI’s human resources branch. He also reached a settlement with the bureau restoring his back pay and benefits from the 27-month suspension, his attorneys said in a statement.

Allen, a former operations specialist at the FBI field office in Charlotte, North Carolina, formally resigned from the FBI on Monday.

He also filed a complaint with the Justice Department’s Inspector General alleging his suspension was retaliation against a whistleblower. The watchdog faulted the FBI for not having a process for employees to appeal a suspension as retaliatory before it’s formally revoked, a potentially lengthy process for employees without pay.

The FBI said the two sides agreed to resolve the matter without either admitting wrongdoing. The bureau said it takes seriously its “responsibility to FBI employees who make protected disclosures under whistleblower regulations.”

Not really interesting after all that we learned afterwards. OS has been over the National Guard thing with a fine toothed comb as well.

By posting this with those comments, you're saying she bears responsibility for J6, right?

So even if your a MAGA type you give up your 1st amendment rights? This is profound stupidity coming from a lawyer who has allegedly proclaimed his respect for the rule of law. What personal injury ferm did you work for again? Was your motto " we get you paid" I watch the commercials all of the time. From the moment that tractor trailer rear ends you your case will be settled in less than a month. The ads show you shaking hands with your attorney while your still wearing a shoulder sling. Are you that GOOD of a lawyer counselor? FTR my own hamstring injury as devastating as it was involved Workmans Compensation. It took 4 years and me paying 4 grand out of pocket to convince the appeal panel in the 3rd circuit court of Albany to reverse the 3 panel WC court that reversed my original WC win. I was very lucky, my orthopedic surgeon Dr Rola Rashid spent hours documenting the damage done to my hamstring. I shredded it from my butt cheek to my knee where my meniscus.was torn Lucky me it never separated from the bone. I spent 4 years counselor dealing with lawyers like you. My left hamstring is a mess of scar tissue that will never get better. I have a difficult time driving for more than a couple of hours. You go to your WC permanency hearing and your injury doesn't fit standard WC parameters . They make it up as they go along. My hamstring injury will be a challenge for the rest of my life. It just didn't fit into the parameters that WC

understands. The government entities liberals like you love turned their backs on me when I needed their help. I will never forget. I was lucky counselor, I paid my WC lawyer just over 5 grand cash to appeal my case. Even a year later when we won our appeal the WC carrier didn't want to pay. My Orthopedic Surgeon submitted documentation of many months of treating me and what her diagnosis was. I saw a company Orthopaedic surgeon who diagnosed my recovery after a thorough 5 minute examination. I was lucky to a small degree, the judge took about 1 minute to rule in my favor. She read my doctors diagnosis and the company's doctors diagnosis.

Responsibility, of course not; she did not storm the capitol. Did she do her job to protect the people, hell no. In any other business...she would have been immediately fired. And why now, is this leak just coming out. We are all being played,

You are correct, we did go over this with a fine tooth comb, and from my memory, we never learned WHY there was not enough security, as there always is during most major gathering around the Capitol. If you recall, we were all bantering about who's call it is, federal grounds vs DC grounds, mayors fault, etc. I pointed this out b/c we now know....Pelosi fugged up. Now she is on her apology tour arguing 'revisionists' history theory by everyone trying make herself feel better.

Sadly, we will never know if the events of J6 would have ever transpired with the proper security, I'd argue they would have not happened as they did. We could even argue Pelosi wanted things to go sideways, out of spite towards Trump, not thinking it could have gotten as bad as it did....just being vindictive.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Thank you for this bizarro-gram. I'm not sure where (or if) to begin, but OK, a couple of things:

If you are a "MAGA-type" you have the same First Amendment rights as I do. Of course the First Amendment protects against government infringement of speech, etc., and not against some guy on a lacrosse website taking people to task for differences of opinion. So, well, there's that.

I do respect the rule of law, and live it every day. I don't work for a "personal injury ferm." I know very little about managing a personal injury case, and very little about worker's compensation. I am sorry for both your injuries and your travails with the medical and legal processes associated with trying to compensate you for the loss.

Your statement -- "The government entities liberals like you love turned their backs on me when I needed their help' -- is strange. I'm not even sure what government entities you are talking about, maybe the Worker's Compensation Appeal Board, or something like that. It sounds like you eventually got some relief in the courts, but that it all took too long and wasn't conducted with the diligence and thoroughness that you would have liked or that you deserved. Again, sorry about that.

My dad died on the job. My mother spent years -- holding the bag with six children, ages 21 to 11 -- trying to get NYS Workmen's Compensation and my father's employer to recognize that and pay her the modest monthly amount that she eventually forced them to pay. In the interim, we went from a middle class family to one hanging on to our possessions while we waited for the process to be completed. One result was no college for me and two of my sisters. All three of us eventually paid our way through college on the five and six year plan, night school and summer school, cobbling together a degree. You never really know a person's background and story.

But why and on what basis you take me to task about it here? Apart from dogs and tomatoes, it is pretty hard to engage in any meaningful kind of dialogue with you. We all seem to be too stupid, too elitist, too school-educated, to have not enough common sense for you.

But why and on what basis you take me to task about it here? Apart from dogs and tomatoes, it is pretty hard to engage in any meaningful kind of dialogue with you. We all seem to be too stupid, too elitist, too school-educated, to have not enough common sense for you.
Then let's stick to dogs and tomatoes. If I thought you were too stupid I wouldn't waste my time conversing with you. You just don't get it counselor...I admire the hell out of you. Your one of those rare FLP types who is proud of who you are and will actually defend your ideology. FTR my garden is looking amazing. Last year my shoulder surgery kept me out of my garden. This year I'm going to make up for last year. Get yourself a beagle counselor Roxy has been a blessing in my life. She was abused and neglected and beaten in her former life in Kentucky. I am fortunate that this girl has become so attached to me. Momma Roxy arrived at her foster home waaay pregnant. She gave birth to 7 puppies shortly after arriving. Two weeks later her foster family brought in 8 puppies with with no mom. Roxy took care of 15 puppies until they all found forever homes. I have owned dogs my entire life. I have loved them all and they all have a special spot in my heart. This dog has touched me like no other. She suffered through so much and just loves people.

I have a plaque on my wall that says this...
If your lucky, a dog will come into your life, steal your heart and change everything . There is not a day that goes by where I'm not grateful my wife found Roxy. We both needed each other more than we knew.
Most humans don’t deserve to have a dog. We may disagree on some things, but I believe we both esteem dogs.
Roxy would agree with a wag of her tail. A couple of weeks ago the side gate was unlatched enough for her to sneak through. I looked out front and she was happily walking down the street with a young mom and her child. Dogs are the best. They don't care about politics, they just want to be loved. FTR I fixed the gate
I use to be a people person until people ruined that for me.

And if it did, you’d end up in a “J6 people are political prisoners” rabbit hole. Pelosi did it. And Schumer. And maybe Soros.

Silly Americans! Republicans can't break laws! It's "someone else's fault" that they broke laws on Jan 6th. You can't hold them accountable for what they do!

These are the same people that take mommy to their job interviews, and send in daddy when they don't get the grades they want.

"It's not MY fault, Mommy!"

EVERY POST LIKE THIS NEEDS TO BE FOUGHT!

That is lying, salacious, TREASONOUS talk. Squirming to get out of accountability for SEDITION and an illegal plot to overthrow the lawfully elected government.

This bullshirt will absolutely be fought until the leaders of this coup plot are behind bars. Fought long after that as well...

I think he just said “if it were a real fight you’d already be down for the count!” Ohh snappp! I’ll be the first one in the parking lot working everyone into a frenzy of bloodlust for prurient reason only.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah
