Only if JayZ is his VP, Kanye’s last album was trash but with JayZ they can create quality like Otis it’s worth considering.

I have never liked Kanye West as a rapper. He is a basic rhymer. Jay-Z was more inventive.

Not even in the same stratosphere, but you talking to a guy who (depending on what you think Tupac is, orig from NYC but considered west coast) likes the NYC preachers (and the roots and Ice Cube)-Dead Prez, KRS One, JayZ, Ramon, early Nas, etc.
Kanye to me is more like a slightly more intense Nelly.

Thats very good. I didn’t know that guy but I don’t follow hip hop like I used to. I was a big Gangstarr guy.....Guru was so much better than Kanye it’s laughable.

We really need to create a thread for basically just us because I suspect everyone else in here is lost. DMac doesn’t believe any music should be played beyond all live Dead tapes (which I’d be into except dead space drives me batty) and figure MDlax is a classical guy and some jazz though Herbie Hancock got way too experimental. AFan only listens to stuff out at Red Rocks, etc.
(I’m just messing with a few of you, three people I thoroughly enjoy conversing with and reading and like all that music I referenced anyways, listen to everything but country after the early 80s and death metal)
But yes, though problem w Mobb Deep is Tupac killed them on Hit Em Up

When the George Harrison estate objected to the use of "Here Comes The Sun" to introduce Ivanka, they told the o d campaign they would consider allowing them to use another of George's songs: "Beware of Darkness"!
