Salisbury up 6-2 at the half. Can't really get much color from the audio broadcast.

Interesting! 'Wick was just on the other side of an 8-5 score after 3.

Who said 9-8 Wick? Looking good for that score if things continue this way. Salisbury's getting smashed on FO's. Haven't had the ball in a long time.

Salisbury regained composure. 11-7 with 3 mins left.

The 3rd period run from Wick has run out of gas. Sarum look like they're taking the w home.

12-7 Sarum final. Give the Knights their proper due. Big win.

Great win for Bury 12-7 on the road.
2 down 3 to go.
They need this type of effort over the next three games.

I think you may be fully aware that Scotty is a polarizing kind of guy, near Cabell Madrid level.

The Brunswick fan base that normally dominates this forum has lock jaw after that Salisbury dismantling. Overall not a bad game a little sloppy at times with a nice comeback by Bruins 2nd half.

I have to hand it to Salisbury, they are a heck of a team. Brunswick had far too many turnovers in the offensive end to beat a team like Bury. Salisbury's offense was patient and moved the ball very well to the open man, no "super stars" trying to get their own, they shared it well. And their zone defense was excellent- cohesive and aggressive. Brunswick made a run but couldn't quite tie it up and they were caught having to press out and Salisbury picked them apart for a few more including the final empty netter. Crowd was well behaved. A shot clock would be my only wish list item, some of the possessions were 2+ minutes without a shot.

Interesting that the West I championship now has only three teams who can control their destiny on the field: Avon, Deerfield, Salisbury.

Salisbury wins out, they win a rare outright league title by running the league table. League games: Deerfield (H), Avon (A), Choate (A).
Avon wins out they earn a shared league title. League games: Deerfield (A), Taft (A), Salisbury (H), Loomis (A).
Deerfield wins out they earn a shared league title. League games: Avon (H), Salisbury (A). Final game: Exeter.

Oddly, Brunswick despite just their one league loss, sits in a position of needing outside help (someone beating Salisbury) to earn anything above a runner-up position in the league title race.

Lots of lax left to play. Deerfield hosting Avon today looms large. Today's losing side is eliminated from controlling their own West I destiny - on the field - moving forward.

Brake pumping might be because Bobby wynne is a class guy rather than his fondness or respect for
Scott. I’m biased though, Bobby was an assistant FB coach my FR year and love the guy while have a very different opinion of Scott and know I’m not alone.

Well, I was wrong! :D Agree spot on with CT. From what I was able to watch, Bury looked very aggressive on D and Wick just played sloppy with turnovers, etc. Also, Bury's goalie was great. Bury's offense moved the ball well and got after it. And believe it or not, the FO's looked pretty even between Wick and Bury, so credit Bury's FO. All in all, hats off to Bury. They wanted it more and deserved it. I hope Bury wins out the rest of the season and claims #1 nationally for the pride of the league. Can't remember when we had a NE 1 West team ranked #1 for the final rankings.

Beast...I think the Taft team of 2000 was #1. From 1999-2001 or so, if memory serves, they won 40 or so straight games. A beast like performance, to be sure, and one not likely to be replicated any time soon.

Taft up 7-3 on Loomis at half. It was 3-3 at the first quarter but the Rhinos have kicked into another gear for Q2. Pretty even on face offs and gbs, Loomis just being careless with the ball in defensive end.
