Yep, talking past each other, apologies for my part in that.
The first commandment was given to me by a Jesuit professor many years ago as an answer to my many questions as a young student. He was humble, and brilliant.....and pointed to it to say, essentially-----"i don't know! But I'll share with you what I learned." A true Christian, and a marvelous man.

One alleged activist group in Norway is calling for Aretha Franklin’s hit 1968 song “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” to be removed from both Apple Music and Spotify after they deemed its lyrics offensive.

My how the times have changed if your a Catholic. When I was a Catholic eating meat on Friday was a sin and a crime in the eyes of the Catholic Church. I still dislike fried haddock to this day. Maybe that is why God invented tartar sauce and cocktail sauce?

I've been at the same parish in North Carolina since moving from MA five years ago. Since before I got here and through three changes in parish pastors we've had the same openly gay, well liked, and extremely talented parish music director.
