It’s CJ Kirst world and we are living in it.

CJ Kirst is already better than when Rob Pannell was a senior.

Actually, it's a song written by Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople fame, covered by a bunch of no-talent yobs who later played a concert during which the nightclub burned down.

Nobody in that band ever wrote anything approaching the level of "Once Bitten Twice Shy."

Fair enough I never liked it anyway. I did watch the drummer sprint out of the club as soon as the fire starts like 17x, it’s horrifying yet somehow oddly funny.

Back to lax.
It's 465 miles from Ithaca to Columbus. About 7.5 hours by bus. Hmmm.
I assume the team will travel by bus, rather than fly?

Son # 1 has a baby shower for his first this Saturday and son #4 is in basketball sectionals. Otherwise I might make the trip, dammit. Only 3 hours for me.

I watched Rob Pannell play, I know Rob Pannell, I officiated Rob Pannell;
CJ Kirst is no Rob Pannell......yet?

You do realize you're responding to a complete horsesasz of a troll whose mission is to be an aszwhole, right, FMU?
Just not worth engaging with this guy.
Were you officiating the day RP went down with the foot injury (very odd one, just landed wrong on that foot somehow)? Was at that game, think I'm remembering right in that it was v Army.

I of course was at that game too. I believe at the time, Cornell was 9-0 and had just assumed #1 in the country. We all thought it was nothing serious and he would maybe miss a game or 2. Needless to say without Robbie, we were still a good team but nowhere near where we could have gone that year had he not been injured.
Ahhh, just another case of what might have been much like 2020 when with Teat, we just beat #1 penn state and we're 5-0 and ranked #2 behind your #1 Orangemen and then the season was canceled.

I actually did think it was serious, jw, he was really writhing in pain, that did not look good to me. I posted my prognosis here and took a lot of heat for it but it turned out I wasn't wrong. That did not look like a short term recovery situation to me....of course I get the hoping it was and trying to see it that way. Yup, that season didn't end the way it should have and that's a shame.

So's everyone else. Meanwhile, Connor & Jordan are not discussing Long's condition. Ditto for the rest of the team.

There are good reasons for this. (1) Other teams aren't sure how to prepare for Cornell. (2) When Long comes back, other teams will have to guess at what kept him out of earlier games, and therefore they won't know how to take advantage of any lingering effects of an injury. (3) Although films from last year would show how Cornell used Long then, this year's team is different, and the coaches might decide to use him (and the other players on attack) differently; if so, his first game or two back might take opponents by surprise.

We all know RP was sitting out to boost his at the time MLL draft stock, reminds me of Will Levis or any of the other top quarterback prospects sitting out of their bowl games, it’s really no big deal and as they say, “my body my choice.”

Not that game, but I had SU/CU several times in the Dome and once at Schoelkopf...RP was a different level; he was ALWAYS so poised regardless of the pressure/abuse he was receiving. Head up, feet moving and excellent vision--he could shoot it too, obviously! I had the Bucknell/CU game in the snowstorm, also. That was the game we halted due to the blizzard-like conditions with CU up like 4-0..After the delay, Bucknell shocked everyone and pulled out the victory. Remember RP imploring his defense to be aggressive...they did get more aggressive, but succumbed to the Bucknell 10 man ride..
