What you don’t like 60 minutes of playing catch with the opposing goalie?

Holtby can't stop a beach ball right now

Complete breakdown of communication on D puts the final nail in the coffin.
15 sec to go, EMO...just not enough.
Damn.

Disappointed but not surprised. Knox would've helped. Couple of lousy calls at the end hurt ( esp the procedure call), and a tough break on possession when we finally got it back. Without Holden, Scott, PJ, Herlihy, and Knox, it ended up as a rebuilding year.

Another game below half of shots on cage.

59 shots, 28 on goal.

Plenty of time to figure it all out but 10-4 since start of 2020 over basically a full schedule (minus Cornell) and a first round conf exit. Not that much different than 2019 really.

Boy how about derrek madonna! Started season slow, don’t know if he was healthy early but 5 straight games of at least 5 points, 27 in last five games. And last two games he threw in 4gbs each game. If you mash 2020 (he only played three games of the 5 and believe wasn’t healthy the full time) he played in 12 games (out of 14) and put up: 29,14,43 on 88 shots (roughly 33% since 29x3 is 87). Toss in a 21gb/14to. What was effectively his second year, partially not healthy and playing a lot of midfield that’s the type of play that is criminally underrated.

Tough loss , the boys showed heart battling back several times.
Holtby had nothing today , there were some really strong shots but quite a few he should have had.
Shooting was atrocious most of the game can’t even count how many times we hit the goalie or stuck it straight into his crosse.
Too much standing around on offense , reminiscent of the terrible Poillion offenses.

Can we finally grow some and petition the NCAA to get us more competitive? I know 6-3 isn't a "bad season", but it really feels like we've hit our ceiling barring some major changes.

That was so disappointing! Kids showed some stones not giving up and coming back time after time, unfortunately could not close the door and get over the hump. Hard to be overly critical with that kind of effort. Thanks to the seniors for persevering over the most extraordinary of times. It is too bad Hobart does not afford them the ability to take advantage of the extra year granted by the NCAA.

New masters of admin next year ... just waiting on the state to approve it. Great for seniors, but crappy for gotst years trying to break in. And another year of hefty tuition ... itll take a few years to see if it is worth it. But it would have kept Scott this year. Maybe Holden too. Wish we could keep Blanchard for next year. Shea is great, but having both has been a blast.
Shout out to Wiley Sherman for a great game today. Mueller was also outstanding. And was that EBFs first goal? Lots of good play today, nut cant survive such scoring droughts.

Always wondered if you could do a 4+1 3+2 w other schools w shave like clarkson and columbia and still play. Have a friend who was a midfielder early 2000s who did that and got a masters in engineering from Columbia/.

We lost the game in the first half with our lousy shooting... Credit to the boys with coming out and playing inspired in the second half. Just a little too much to overcome. A disappointing end to the careers of our seniors, but thanks fo the excitement throughout your careers.

Here’s a special thanks to Sam Mueller’s grandmother. As I was pacing back and forth along the fence on the far side of the field, I happened upon her and had a great time watching the game with her and discussing Hobart lacrosse. Great lady!

Agree with Laxgunea well done Wylie Sherman
Made a bunch of big plays
Played hard even after taking a nasty hit late in the game .
Speaking of Wylie I noticed he’s one of the seniors , along with Mott, Archer and Imburgia that were not part of the senior day celebration?

Standing at field level remember why this is the fastest game on two feet. Thought the guys played real hard, only if they could have not played catch with Caracciolo in the first half things might have ended differently. Thanks to the seniors for all your hard work and good luck in the future.

What’s the word on Baltzer going down late in the game? The kid can really play.

He did play well today--save that last goal when he and the pole got burned on the big/little
