Arlington Cemetery administrators have confirmed to NPR that a report has been filed about the attack on cemetery staff. Would sure like to see it.
"Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate’s campaign.”
So it appears that the Trump campaign broke federal law by staging a political event and photo opportunity on some of the nation's most hallowed ground...and then attacked a member of the cemetery staff trying to enforce rules intended to prevent American military dead from becoming props in political advertising.
Good to hear from all our veterans about this crass, dirtying outrage.
They don’t care. Trump is against the people they are against. That’s good enough for them.
How does he not make people throw up in their mouth?
DEPLORABLE
He knows his audience. What are the odds Old Salt and YA haven’t bought any for “shts and giggles”..

Trading card $$$ go to Trump personally I believe.
Not a campaign contribution.
Classy!

Sacre bleu!!
“Beck, also a Claremont co-founder, is closely involved with the Society for American Civic Renewal (SACR), a secretive invitation- and men-only fraternal lodge that has been the subject of extensive previous reporting in the Guardian.
Beth Daviess, a researcher at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, who has published research on SACR, said the politics represented by the group are “much more extreme than mainstream conservatism”. She explained there are two elements of that extremism: “their opinions on gender and the role women should have in society” and “their views on whether government should be democratic at all”.
If Joe lets me drive his Corvette, I’ll vote for Kamala.
That would be preferable than going for a joy ride with Joe behind the wheel.
Thank you for your conference in my driving skills. I think.
I would trust you explicitly behind the wheel of Joes Corvette. I wouldn't trust myself that is for certain.

yikes. Well, not entirely surprising...what do the MAGA apologists on here think?
It means nothing that these people have affiliated themselves with such extremism?
Or "they have a point" ?

Interesting; thanks for posting this Pizza. Over time, you really get the feeling that JD has some kind of deep, but largely amorphous, idea that the world was better in 1952 -- everyone knew their place, knew their central role -- and it would be great if we could all just agree to go back in time.

Obama's personal pastor, wedding celebrant, and supporter was anti-semite and anti-gov't radical Jeremiah Wright.
That was nothing to be worried about. And worked itself out fine. I'm sure that will be the case here too.

Maybe; but Obama wasn't as feckless and easy to influence as this bozo. JD is genuinely strange, and still apparently in search of his own identity enough to allow people to puff him up to be whatever they need. And he is plainly hostile to women. Just pretty strange.

Obama had morals and standards, and generally held onto them. When he changed a stance, there was usually a good reason.
Vance is like a wacky waving inflatable arm tube man, blowing along with whatever policy wind he thinks is gonna get him a squidge more power. Just look at his comments over the years regarding Trump.

True. Obama was always his own man. He always had a rock solid image and understanding of who he was.
This JD Vance stuff does sounds strange. And probably dangerous.

Dead service members as props.
Using Arlington and dead service members for political photo ops and props. While smiling and giving a thumbs up.
"A source with knowledge of the incident said the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried. The source said Arlington officials had made clear that only cemetery staff members would be authorized to take photographs or film in the area, known as Section 60.
When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering Section 60, campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source."

Absolutely disgraceful.
Some of his vet sympathizers here will make excuses for this crass and bad behavior, too

Now, if we could just harness the rotational energy of true anti-fascist vets spinning in their graves.

By some your not including me. What I don't know is if he was invited to the grave by the family. If that is the case then the dynamics have changed. If it was Joe Biden invited by family members would the sentiments be the same??
