Minneapolis Police informed residents of the city’s embattled 3rd Precinct to prepare for the giving up of their personal belongings to potential robbers and advised them to do as criminals say for their own safety.

According to a July 28 email the Minneapolis Police Department offered “prevention tips” to residents hoping to avoid being a victim of the skyrocketing cases of robbery and carjacking that have plagued the city since George Floyd’s death in May.

“Robberies and Carjacking’s [sic] have increased in our Precinct,” the email begins. “Cell phones, purses, and vehicles are being targeted. Some victims have been maced, dragged, assaulted, and some threatened with a gun. there's almost always a perfectly reasonable middle ground. the cops were bad. so we need to address it. we shouldnt disband the entire force, but something must be done. the difficulty is finding that degree. which is the most constructive discussion we can probably have.

‘Bad‘ cops are a small slice of police; bad prosecutors are ironically far more prevalent.

The police problem in urban communities is long running and not dissimilar from how cops treated the Irish in Tammany Hall; police can seem to those they police as overbearing, but in reality no one has walked in the policeman’s shoes in those communities. It’s brutal and can desensitize police to things.

Being a cop is not a glamorous job. Start demeaning them, and you’ll soon have a major crime problem on your hands, as we are seeing all over America now. That’s on Democrats.
