Reality is, now when there is some hype video, a 30 player deep sideline celebration, or a tweet about sneakers an hour before game time, the connotations for the next year will be, well, they’re the champs, it’s just who they are. As opposed to, they’re a….oles, it’s just who they are.

The lacrosse world lost today… an unfortunate ending to an eventful D3 season. Tufts is insufferable, Casey D is insufferable. Call me a sore loser cuz I know people will. I’m not a sore loser cuz I’m not an RIT fan. I’m just an impartial third party who thinks that everything Tufts stands for makes the game of lacrosse look bad. Hoping for a better end next year and for Douchnalfo to get a D1 promotion this summer so we never have to deal with his loser face again!

From the NCAA live stream attendance looked pretty poor for the D3 championship game. It is great to be playing in a big venue but having a 90%+ empty stadium is not a good look. I wonder if one of the MLS stadiums would be a better venue.

The attendance was actually pretty good. Over 15,000 which is more than any other D3 sports (football and basketball etc) ever, as well as most D1 sports and more than the D1 women’s Final played yesterday. Not sure what the angle was for the stream but it was basically two big sections behind the benches and then there were large groups of people all over the stadium in the shaded areas because it was so hot so those were not probably off camera. Tufts seemed to travel better.

That said, Agreed, soccer stadiums would be worth considering.

NCA please let’s get rid of them. Mark Dixon has an announcer. He’s awful and doesn’t really know anything about thendivision two and three players. Can we get someone who knows more about this level. No one cares that he played at Hopkins.

Great points! Excellent post!! If you're a first line middie at UVA I'm gonna say you're prolly a top 20 D1 middie in the country. If you're the #1 guy on first middie line at UVA you're easily top 10!! Kids a stud, give it a break please.

great game. horrible broadcast. the camera work was spotty. out of frame. no replays for the good plays. and the audio kept freezing.
it’s time ESPN carry the game.

You and I haven’t seen eye to eye on virtually any issue, ever, this is one of them. Someone needs to reach out to the powers that be to fix this. D2 and D3 games need better coverage IMHO.

It’s crazy that there have been MCLA games on ESPN+ and we can’t even get the national championships for either on at least that platform? Insane.

Division I, II and III are all tied into memorial day and championship weekend.

Although it would be welcomed like a recent Final 4 in East Hartford, I am not sure that will be changing anytime soon with ESPN.

I was at the game, but watched the replay this morning. I thought Dixon was pretty good. He calls color on a lot of BIG games so is pretty knowledgeable. I thought he and the pbp guy were pretty well prepared with background on the top players. I didn't recognize the pbp guy, but I feel like I knew the voice. Overall a decent production. I've been to the last two NCs in person and had no desire to watch 2023 on stream after seeing it live. It seems that games I watched on stream in 21/22 had 1 regular joe doing both color and pbp. I thought yesterday was a pretty big improvement.

Believe me it's better that it's on NCAA.com. Pretty soon it'll be on YouTube forever (more or less). Some/most Espn+ games disappear 1-2 months after airing.
