With the Pats win over the Bills last night, the chest pounding from New England just got louder. A large and growing contingent of bobo Patriots fans think the team has caught a time travel/reincarnation glitch and are now the 2001 Patriots on their way to yet another Super Bowl title. Just as long as they don't win the Super Bowl, ultimately, that's all I care about. Bill Belicheat and the Cheatriots have to run out of ridiculous luck at some point.

I wouldn't be at all unhappy to see Bill win it all again just like Tom Terrific and Gronk did. C'mon, how do you not just love that. Discussion over, Tommy T is the greatest of all time, just not much room for discussion there. It don't get better than #87 either, phenomenal duo. If Bill can pull it off, he'll be in the untouchable discussion too. GO PATS!!!!!
Don't have an attachment to any team, am pretty indifferent, don't really care who wins. Do pull for Russell Wilson to lose though, he lost me with the saving him and herself for the wedding night. After having a child you can save yourself again? Was a big load of sanctimonious krapp in my book.

CHIEFS!!

Post by OuttaNowhereWregget »

Kansas City pulled out an overtime win last night over the pesky (and ridiculously coached) LA Chargers to pull a half game up on the Cheatriots for the #1 seed.

NFL OT rules are trash, damned shame a coin flap can determine the outcome of a game 60+ minute game.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

To a degree I’m with you, but some blame has to go to the defense.

Pats were the last team to crap their pants in this game. Colts 27 Cheats 17. So much for Bill’s stalwart defense. Sweet revenge for Indy.

Dear FOX,
You've put enough miles on Carrie, time to trade her in. Time for a new model, something a little more spiffy and fun.
Give this gal a call.
Thanks,

Ravens to honor Terrell Suggs Sunday, at what is likely Ben Roethlisberger's last game:

The only thing that would have been better is if they invite Haloti Ngata too.

If I can be serious for just a handful of moments, on paper the NY Giants do not appear to be a bad team. In fact, on paper they give the appearance of being a highly competitive team. Certainly one that could possibly make a decent playoff spot. So you have to wonder why the hƎll is it that they again have a losing record? And why is it that the future looks as screwy as it did in the pathetic mid to late 60s?

As in the past, the fans are angry. And they should be. Furthermore, team management/ownership should be flattered at the attention and the criticism. Both are warranted. Mebbe someone should leave another large banner that says "YEARS OF LOUSY FOOTBALL - WE'VE HAD ENOUGH!"

Joe Judge fired as Jints head coach:

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... joe-judge/

Judge went 6-10 in his first season and 4-13 in his second season. Despite a widespread perception that Giants owner John Mara thought highly of Judge personally, the results just weren’t good enough.

And perhaps just as important, Judge was widely criticized for his handling of the end of the season, when the Giants lost their last six games, all by double-digit margins, and Judge was mocked around the league for a post-game rant in which he insisted that he had instilled a winning culture.

Am not sure I can believe the following article which alleges that the players wanted this to happen:

https://giantswire.usatoday.com/2022/01 ... -be-fired/

As I wrote before, on paper the Giants appear to have enough personnel to field a winning team. But they failed. So who is at fault? Welp, the coach usually gets the axe when folks make that assessment. Comes with the territory. I just hope that next season will be a winning one for my Jints.

Patriots vs. Bills: New England bludgeoned by Buffalo, loses 47-17 in wild card round

https://www.patspulpit.com/2022/1/15/22 ... ails-recap

Must confess that I was quite happy to see the result. While I had predicted that the Cheatriots would win, this was predicated on the notion that Bellicheat would have the officials in his pocket. I expected his team to get every call from the refs as they usually do and that the Bills would get cheated out of a win. Lo and behold! We got the unexpected. In an early drive one of the Bills lineman committed a hold on a DL* that was only too obvious. Somehow the refs did not blow the whistle, did not throw a penalty flag, the Bills completed the pass thereby getting a first down and eventually scored. After seeing that I knew that the game would be different - that is unlike all the other times when the refs would be hellbent on helping NE get a win.

* 02:38 OL #73 drags down the DL #91 and McKenzie completes the first down.

Wow, mighty impressive. Allen and the Bills did look strong, we'll see how it plays out. Probably some aszez still thawing out after sitting in that stadium for about four hours in those temps to see about fifteen minutes of football action. Football is a crazy phenomenon.
Meanwhile, the stupid phukn Niners are damn lucky to have won. Football minds are those of the Neanderthal man still living in caves. Niners have got the ball somewhere near mid field, can't remember the exact score, think it was Niners up thirteen, it's fourth and short with around four minutes to go and they punt the ball. No other sport are teams so willing to give the other team the ball, nfw I'm punting the ball at that point in the game. Needless to say the Cowboys pick up thirty-eight yards on their first play and are right back to where the Niners punted from. Of course they score and make this a much, much, much tighter game than it should have been. Every once in a while you'll hear commentators say that teams are starting to go for it more often in these kind of situations......well no schidt, should have been doing that since forever. Come out of the cave football minds, get a little creative, play with some imagination and creativity, loosen up and stop being so predictable. No dog in the hunt, don't care who wins. If Tommy Terrific and Gronk pull it off again I wouldn't be upset just because it's so ridiculous what these two have already done.
GO BUCS!!!! Pretty sure Tommy Terrific is going to be on the Manningcast again tonight....best football show on TV.

Always rewarding to watch the Boys blow a playoff game time after time in always inventive ways.
