Are you calling Murphy a liar?

Garrett Degnon has 21 goals in 6 games (3.5 per game) since moving to attack. That would be tied for third in Division 1. If I'm PM/Junior I am begging him to come back as a grad student next year.

Why do you even post
Degnon has developed into one of the best finishers in college lacrosse. However, he will only remain productive as long as his teammates work hard to get him good looks at the net. They have done a good job of that the last few games. Degnon has a reasonable shot at 40 goals this season.

they had him at midfield to start the season along with angelus and there's no guarantee he's coming back.

I would wager more money on Degnon returning than Epstein.

since there is life after lax, if I was a senior, I'd at least investigate where I might use my lax prowess to get into a top grad program. For example, Duke or UVa MBA >>>>> Carey MBA. OTOH, Hopkins' Public Health programs blows all others out of the water (except, perhaps, that 'other H' in Cambridge.)

"Are you calling Murphy a liar?"

DB, At times you talk as if you are a real lawyer. If so, then presumably you know that hearsay is when someone says what someone else says, and in this situation there is another layer. I have no idea what this young fellow said,, but supposedly he was run off by someone at Hopkins for some reason. Perhaps in your law practice this qualifies as fact (?). Why would anyone at Hopkins want to dismiss this kid, particularly if he is as good as claimed'? This story seems implausible, and I was speculating there may have been a real reason why he left: perhaps he did not like the academic rigor demanded of students at Hopkins? But I have no idea. If the player has issued a statement about why he left it would be interesting to read, but for now all I have read is hearsay. I do not know the kid at all, so I do not know if he is a liar, but I have a difficult time relying on what someone said someone said what the kid said.

Today's Hopkins is not doomed stat comes from of all places college park. I have no idea what a purdue is but our rate of big ten titles to seasons competing has to be the highest in the conference since we joined.

Jason Yellin @JasonYellin Apr 16 Today, @TerpsMLax won Maryland's 41st #B1G title since joining the @BigTen in 2014-15. The #Terps are 3rd in most (reg.season+tourney) titles in that time

MICH 61
OSU 51
MARYLAND 41
PSU 28
MINN 27
IOWA 21
WISC 18
ILL 15
IND 15
MSU 14
NU 9

Wait a minute … Rutgers fields 27 teams for the Big Ten, while Johns Hopkins fields only one … and Johns Hopkins has won more B1G titles since 2015 than Rutgers?!?

-cummings talks about how he participated in a bible study led by Hopkins lacrosse players while he was in hs. I remember them having one in mccoy or wolman for student athletes but I don't remember hs kids. walters talks about how he and harrison became close after harrison graduated. Some of the best coverage in lacrosse comes from the student type newspapers/media at these schools and it's impressive work.

hawley talks about his uncle and soon to be nationally famous cousins. Impressive family legacy reaching into new chapters.

story finds half of white kids attending harvard are athletes, kids of employees, alumni, or potential donors. Not sure what percentage of Hopkins white students are athletes but probably about 1/5 to 1/4.

I remember recently reading when JHU changed 12.5% of undergrads were legacies. That was reduced to 3.5% in 2019?

my extremely well-qualified child, with parents who are both alums and who had been strong donors and supporters of the university, was recently summarily rejected, if that's indicative of anything. rejection letter came during the Navy/Delaware weekend of success, which made it so much more special. so yeah, makes one feel pretty stupid to care about an institution that couldn't care less about you. school will never see another dime from me (as if they care). and trying to stop caring about the lacrosse program, even though I do care and have enjoyed caring immensely in the past. great way to ruin a community. but hey, how about that US News ranking? and check out those diversity stats.

Koleton Marquis is going to be a fun one to watch at Homewood:

If the Under Armour team is smart they'll put him in the All-America game this summer (at Homewood again) for the viral highlight potential alone.
