What’s going on with Albany, I realize many are grads, but it looked to me like they were getting in some top level talent again. Maybe they are just looking to turn over the roster.

It’s pretty inappropriate for every D1 athlete to get bogus masters degrees.

True, but it was a clever way for the NCAA to add a little more revenue.

They already have five players coming back taking a fifth year plus two transfers coming in and one 2022 (Palumb) who took a PG year - only have so many roster spots.

Or the colleges. The bogus weekend and online program rev is declining, stuff like Fox online MBA and Fuqua taking BS GMAT scores etc.

It was last years portal. I guess to point out how many kids throw up their names for the optionality but the pull through isn’t all that high and perhaps going down.

My guess was written. I didn’t post it though. The dump of names is just that though, a dump, half or more are just doing it for the option not with much or any intention of using it

Just as a reference. A lot of spaghetti thrown at a wall sometimes. I was actually surprised at the number of entrants in this year’s portal compared to last. I just cut and pastes the info. I was surprised that the font colors didn’t register. I was wondering about 2023 vs 2024 and figured others may also be wondering.

There were likely a lot more names in the portal last year than who made it onto our list. My guess is we only captured about half, maybe a bit more

Agree, but the Quakers will take it. Arceri/Eldridge combo is a good one. They have a DC area fogo coming in as a freshman to go along with eh sophomore from Taft who got some experience last year. Second UVA transfer to Penn the last 2 years. Kumar (middle) sat out last year and will be entering this Fall.

Sometimes its not a playing time issue but more of a culture fit or that the School or program itself just isn't what the player expected. It happens more then you think.

If it were only that easy…Hobart would’ve had all the cooler kids from Syracuse and Cornell transferring to Geneva after their FY fall semesters.
