"Fans or no fans" is a state-level issue, but after that it's up to localities to decide if they brings fans back under the state guidelines. Didn't see that the state had made its decision already. NJ just announced it was allowing fans last week.

Thanks for the updated info on Maryland state-level decision on this. I missed the announcement too.

I guess what I was trying to say originally is that there are many different levels that a school can be put on the hold-up for fans versus not having fans: state, county, city, conference, the school administration itself, etc. If any of these say "no fans" (or family only), it's a no go.

So while on some level it is a state-level decision, there are also other layers that to line up and it's not always black and white necessarily that it is the state that's the hold up.

I took a pass on helping michigan state pay off its pedophilia lawsuits by not paying for the michigan game. I'm looking forward to helping Iowa pay its $600k a year football trainer this weekend and sharing my truly aided thoughts on jake lillys wing play.

There was no one here for michigan because the school does nothing to promote the program. I've read about 234234234123 stories on the new dc building, but they just don't want anything to do w/championing this bunch. I don't expect a madison avenue marketing blitz but I thought the current state of the program was pretty telling when w/out any spring fair this/last year, no frat events, no concerts, really anything to do, you didn't see any students watching from the parking lot or anywhere along the periphery. No booze checks, bring your own food. Maybe they all got the new play stations or mcat prep books for hannukah.

some of the Ivy folks were dismissing non ivy posters on their forums as "Ivy Envy". I wonder how their kids and families are going to feel in two weeks when its warm and they're not playing and they're watching their hs teammates and rivals making memories. Would expect Millimans inbox to get some action from kiddos who want a great degree and a school that lets them play.

should be fans for next home game. I'm a believer.

For those still following PLL, Atlas traded Rabil to the Cannons for draft picks. They protected Durkin, Crawley, Tinney, and Brown to prevent the Cannons from taking them in the expansion draft. Redwoods protected Harrison and Chrome protected Ranagan. Foley, Rapine, Hubler all went unprotected for their respective teams. If they are smart some PLL coach will draft Cody Radz, who's been a very solid player in the MLL.

Fan attendance is based on state and county. AA county has reduced it to parents only for Navy. But Navy is now shut down for the next 10 days

I'm also pretty sure that Navy isn't a state level decision - it's federal property and they don't have to abide by the state rules. One of the reasons that Army/Navy football was held at West Point this year rather than in Philly, as is typical.

4/3 and 4/10 would be on ESPN; 3/27, 4/17, 4/24 would be BTN or BTN+.

If you don't already have a BTN+ subscription I'd highly recommend getting one as we could have as many as 4 more games on that platform (including against Maryland this week) but hopefully one or two of those will be on BTN proper.

All that said they might not do the same exact order again. Could play Rutgers twice in a row for instance. Or they could save Maryland for "homecoming" on 4/24 as 06 posited.

- I watched a bit of last weekend's game again—flalax you were right, Lyne did cover Zawada a bunch but he and Szuluk essentially rotated. We were not super committed to matchups, guys were moving around. Both did a good job on him. Szuluk does a very good job getting his stick in passing lanes. Reinson and Delaney were both very good off the ground, so much better than last week. Jaronski looks like an option at SSDM. Shure was wearing a sleeve on his knee and looked a half-step slow to my eye. The strategy at shortie seems to be throw the kitchen sink and see if anything sticks. Mabbett was vastly improved but still has a ways to go. There were definitely not 57 guys on the bench+field so it doesn't seem like everyone gets to travel this year.

Unless we're one of the top 2 seeds (who get byes), we're going to have a game on May 1.

#3 hosts #6 and #4 hosts #5 that day. Semi-finals and finals are 5/6 and 5/8 at PSU.

The Hopkins forum is more fun when the fans are angry with the coach.

I don't want to turn this thread into one of my 2L classes, but I'm pretty darn sure that state laws still apply on federal property.

The Cuse boards are always deeply bipolar but I was frankly surprised to see the Sabre go nutso this weekend. I guess winning a championship in the last full season of lacrosse doesn't buy the staff much goodwill. There was one post that was like "minus the NCAA run this is just who we are under Lars" and another that was basically "I'm done with UVA athletics." After one loss!

One of the fan bases that is relentlessly positive even when they're bad is Rutgers and so far this year it looks like all that good karma is starting to cash in.

I'm dying over that one. Their upward trajectory under Lars from where they were at the end of the Starsia era has been huge. If they want to fire Lars, I'm sure that there'd be 50+ D1 programs lining up to offer him a job.

But not Syracuse (this week).

Once Grimes gets rolling, the BJs will have a formidable attack.
There is a component on thesabre that has never cared for Lars. In my time at UVA, their counterparts wore “BBTOU” buttons.

on a scale of eyes of texas to mike rabil to stanford olympians/brown equestrian sugar daddies/dartmouth golf mommies losing their s-t this year I think we're pretty nice folks. Bring back the band and cheerleaders.

I saw those uva comments their fans made. They're going to have a lot of aggression to take out during their confederate war re-enactments this week.

game watches are nice until you realize everyone has different internet speeds and alcoholic consumption levels which spoils the game.
