I would argue grad school and job prospects are much improved with a Hopkins diploma vs a Salisbury one for many reasons

He may have hated it. Not that he was dumb. You never know. Pretty sure it’s not because he thinks Salisbury is a “better” school.

Sorichetti, Chauvette, and Kilrain all played in the national senior all-star game at Navy last night. Sorichetti had a hat trick, Chauvette had 2g. Kilrain looked good off the ground and in transition. As usual with these games, not a ton of real defense being played.

We'll see all three again later this month at Homewood for the "New Balance" All-American game.

Having a young settled staff with bright young alumni looking like a great asset with all the musical chairs right now. Jury is out on Crawley, but having the group ensconced brings stability and peace of mind to the faithful.

Have to be some EMOTIONS on the cuse forums right now.

Former National Championship head coach, moving from a DC job (which he'd had only been 2 years) at one ACC program to the same job at another ACC program in the middle of summer? Strikes me as odd, but what do I know. His boys being at UNC does go a long way toward explaining it though.

We don't need to go over it again, but I still think Petro can be a very good head coach. Run a program, recruit, manage games, set culture, etc. And do it well. It's the actual coordination of a modern defense that I have questions about.

99% of Americans would choose to live in Chapel Hill over Syracuse, especially those nearing age 60. And his 2 kids are in Chapel Hill. What is weird about this move?

Not gonna get snarky. Syracuse is trending down. Research Triangle is not. Taxes and weather are different. At the lacrosse level, SU has an entrenched legend who's not going anywhere. UNC has a guy who could get fired at any time. Maybe Petro sees a chance Not a weird move.

Petro recruited kids to Hopkins (who won, a long time ago) in the Daniels environment and Syracuse, what he could do at a state school has to have Heels fans giddy with the possibilities.

keno, don't get why we're still doing this.
- detroit's population since 1950 is down 70%
- syracuse's onondaga county is up 40%
- that was 1950-1970 basically. it has been flat since. not declining. and in toto better than the state of new york (and nyc depending on your time frame).

because even in the face of taxes and weather and economy, it's a good place to raise a family. among other things. i grew up for stretches in both syracuse and raleigh area, and it's not close. imo. maybe you did, too.

i get it cuse is a punching bag and just yucks... had you said "most" and not 99%... wouldn't have batted an eye. opinion not a put down.

imo this has nada to do with weather and taxes anyway. and probably nothing to do with the head coaches' future tenure. and mostly or all where the sons are going to school. not a crazy conclusion.

Breschi and Petro are great friends so it will probably work - if true - but dynamic that strikes me is an assistant coach with 2 sons on the team - one that is projected to be a star.

The official Thank you for Caracciolo was posted to Insta/Twitter recently - still no Degnon

As 51 noted JB and DP have been close for a very long time. When JB’s family suffered a terrible loss DP went out.

GG was not a big fan of the emotion DP brought to the sideline. Maybe it was a level of comfort move for both.

Watching the UNC offense the last couple of years i wondered what was going on there.
