A steak dinner says Pete Brown doesn't know what the Constitution's phrase "three fifths of all other Persons" means, without using Google, GGait.

Ol' Petey is going full on FoxNation for us: if you dare point out that America wasn't or isn't perfect, they lose their *hit and call you a pinko commie.

Don't you guys like how this works for Pete? He falls all over himself to tell you how bad the American government is.....but if you point out that yes, the American government has done some bad things in the past? Pete loses his mind, and calls you out for saying our government did something bad regarding slavery.

So which is it today Pete? Is American government always good and flawless, and GGait should be ashamed for pointing out why we have the Electoral College?

Or is American government bad, as Petey B. has been telling us for the last few months?

Make up your mind, and get back to us. We need to know what to think here.

What you have to realize, Trump picked this deadwood rather than Rudy Giuliani. At least Rudy's comedy bit is entertaining.

Oh and for the Democrat wackos here who need a bogeyman xenophobic reason to hate another made-up enemy (think Russia), Cirrus is owned by the Chinese. And they are making your lives better.
We are at war with the Democrats. We have never been at war with Russia or China.

Rush Limbaugh, who announced this week that he has advanced lung cancer, has a history of praising the practice of smoking.

Speaking to a caller in 2015, Limbaugh said that Americans should thank smokers.

“Earlier you were saying about smoking, that people ought to be thankful that there are smokers, because the money gotten from smoking helps to fund all these child programs and everything?” a caller told Limbaugh. “But that’s like saying I’m glad that there’s bumper accidents because then auto mechanics would still have jobs and it improves the economy.”

“Well, now, wait. Hold it, hold it just a second,” Limbaugh grumbled. “I’m sure the hospital industry would agree with you that they support knives, there wouldn’t be scalpels without knives.”

“Smokers aren’t killing anybody,” the conservative host added .....

Well, there is such a thing as karma.

I wonder what Republican Mo Brooks is thinking now:

Let's hope Limbaugh will finally open his eyes before he leaves the world he tried to destroy with all his hate. After all, Saul of Tarsus was an evil guy who saw the light on the road to Damascus and repented. He did a lot of good to make up for all the bad he did and today is known as St Paul. So maybe there is some hope for Limbaugh as well. At least, let us hope so.

Am hoping against hope that he will elevate himself to the point where he apologizes for his week long Hitlerian rants against blacks during the Central Park Five scandal days. He (like Trump) failed to apologize after the truth was disclosed about the police criminality that caused that scandal. If he fails to do so, then, indeed, he has no saving grace.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if a Republican Nitty-In-Chief eventually awards one to Benedict Arnold.

Democrat response to SoU ignores Trump’s Speech, and spouts bland platitudes. “Time For action”

And rightfully ignoring the good economy.

I don't have a problem with Trump blowing his horn on good economic data and stats; we should all be pleased with those stats, though if it was an honest appraisal it would include the crazy high deficits fueling that situation. In the long haul, IMO it's going to look stupid to have juiced the economy when already strong.

But it's fair political game to take some credit when stuff is good.

What does bother me is all the negative BS about the prior administration and how somehow that wasn't an even more impressive track record.

Which it was.

The divisiveness is what I think was over the top. Right from the get go.

Put me in charge of the Dems, and I'd the economy would be ALL I would talk about.

Trump has overseen the largest expansion of Socialism and Big Government since President Johnson. And every penny is borrowed.

And yet all the fake-conservative Trump fans are OVERJOYED at how well the economy is doing.

I wouldn't put Trump fans in charge of a local lemonade stand. It would go bankrupt before the doggone thing opened for business, and leave its creditors short a few thousand bucks.

These people can't add. Don't know what socialism is. Don't know what a handout is. And think interest on loans doesn't exist. My five year old has a better grasp on financial consequences than TrumpFans.....

I am quite sure the republicans would like to thank Pelosi for ripping up the speech. It not only showed how good the speech was for America in general, it showed the only the only thing she cared about was military, children, and those that can roll cash into their pockets. Her lack of standing showed juvenile behavior like her dad took away her cell phone. The democrat party certainly needs new leadership, badly. And it certainly looks like she is leading them further and further away from center, leaving the moderates little choice. She then claims by ripping it up..."It was the courteous thing to do, considering the alternative".

If I were her, I would have played this quite differently. I would have intentionally stood and clapped like at no other time, showing unity, strength, and even the ability to set aside differences for the people of this country. This would have given her the opportunity to reply that "we as democrats are pleased that Obama terms did is put us in this position, a position of re-growth....just look at the trend line during his term". Instead, by staying divisive, it first displays petulance, and then you have to justify that behavior, by talking about "fact checking" which diffuses everything. Had she stayed positive, they could have capitalized on that "acting presidential behavior" that they so often criticize DJT of doind. IMO, she took herself to DJT's level.

Although I tend to agree that the Speaker probably shouldn't have torn up the speech in such a public way, I don't think there are any lectures to be made about needing "new leadership, badly." Tearing up a speech filled with gossamer half-truths and lies, and which concluded by giving a well known super-divisive bigot the highest civilian honor one can receive really doesn't compare to the "leadership" which may result in the end of effective Article I oversight of the Executive. And as someone on twitter said, only in a Trump-World can there be appearances by a Tuskegee airman, with many many combat missions under his belt, and Limbaugh, with Rush coming out with the medal.
