New York alone may pass Italy and Spain in the next week or so.
Put NY and NJ together and they're about dead even with them, though combined are only half of Italy's population and 2/3 of Spain's.

New York's daily new case rate is outpacing both right now.
Maybe New York is testing better.

New York looks well behind Italy and Spain in deaths.

Cases are a leading indicator of deaths. Just wait a couple weeks.

Upsetting that you'd not even acknowledge the fault of all the others in this video....and they are from the areas that are spiking the most; NY and Louisiana.

POTUS was getting briefed on national threats, not Bill de Blasio.

It was POTUS who minimized the threat, very publicly and very loudly.

The mayor of New Orleans said that DHS raised no pandemic issues concerning Mardi Gras.

THE FEDS ARE IN CHARGE OF NATIONAL THREAT ASSESSMENT AND MITIGATION.

Not mayors, not Congress.

The FEDS.

Who are led by, and took their cues from, TRUMP.

There were 1,041 additional deaths today in the United States, and the day isn’t done.

First time over 1,000 deaths in a day. Plus, around 26,000 new cases.

Again, the day isn’t done.

I know the rabid Dems here don’t want to embrace this, but:

The twilight of the immune system. Not many of you have anything to fear, unless:

It is not chronological age alone that determines how one does in the face of a life-threatening infection such as Covid-19,” cautioned geriatrician and gerontologist George Kuchel of the University of Connecticut. “Having multiple chronic diseases and frailty is in many ways as or more important than chronological age. An 80-year-old who is otherwise healthy and not frail might be more resilient in fighting off infection than a 60-year-old with many chronic conditions.” Reason: She may have a younger immune system.

Interesting as Corona sales were down initially. So people are buying Corona out of a sick sense of humor. It’s not just lacrosse people.

FWIW, without naming names, more than a few medium sized+ breweries had record sales last month. Let's see what this month holds.

I thought today’s incredible, awesome press con was pretty incredible and awesome. If you missed it the majority of questions were answered with “we’re looking into it” or “we’re working on it. Those were the answers I gave my parents when looking for a homework status. It means we have no freakin clue. However, we can be sure that things are getting done today like no civilization has ever seen before.

Poor de Blasio, he had no experts to advise him.
You may have seen this MSNBC Public Health Analyst criticizing Trump's every decision.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irwin_Redlener

On November 15, 2012, following Superstorm Sandy, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he had appointed Redlener co-chair of the NYS Ready Commission, which was tasked with finding ways to ensure critical systems and services are prepared for future natural disasters and other emergencies.

On June 17, 2014, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio named Redlener special advisor with a focus on emergency management and planning to support and advise the administration's citywide disaster preparedness and response efforts.

My friend that owns a small producer/natural wine store is doing business like its Xmas. Through the roof. They’ve moved to order and pickup at the door or have it delivered. No in store sales anymore for their own safety. She is appalled at how many older people were coming with no health concerns. She is now getting access to wines at a severe discount that were previously allocated to restaurants whose sales are squatah. High demand wines.
