Maybe it will be different this Spring.
But they've regressed as the year goes on the last two.
So until they win a final, this loss is not a good one for Bowdoin.
All fair points - just to be clear, I'm not sure they're actually a top 20/25 team (haven't watched much of them at all in recent years). I just think their ROS schedule is so bad that their absolute floor is 13-2. In 2022 and 2023 combined, the only team they lost to after mid-March was WNE. Hard to see that changing this year outside of maybe (maybe) Roger Williams; the CCC is not good.

The difference is that Endicott started 0-4 in 2022 and 3-4 in 2023; they're 5-1 this year. Even if they still can't beat WNE, they would enter the CCC tourney at 13-2 with wins over Bowdoin + Nazareth. Feel like they would get some bottom of the polls attention - especially if they get to 14-1 - because of the record + a few solid wins to in theory show that the record isn't all fluff.

Is it really so unfathomable for a NESCAC team who entered the season being thought of as strong, to actually be much more middle of the road?

Must we assert the unpredicted dominance of any opponent who “upsets” them, in obvious attempt to qualify that said NESCAC team is still quite strong?

Its disingenuous to suggest we need to “wait and see” for NESCAC conference play, when time and again the NESCAC has proven that teams play each other in-conference very tough, despite the rankings or lack there of. Thereby making it a poor measuring stick of ceilings and cellars.

Just my NESCAC 2 cents on an open NESCAC forum.
Answers: You’ve had 113 total posts, more than 50% of them, 59(!) have been bashing the NESCAC. It’s a crazy obsession.

Yes, it’s an open Forum, so keep it up, you’re really moving the needle with pollsters and brackets! We’re sorry that your team, CNU didn’t beat Tufts by 6 as you predicted.
Didn’t answer any questions. Resorted to personal attacks. Sad. They’re valid questions, it is what it is. Next.

That I agree with - 100%
Now I understand your MIT comparison, better.
And again, maybe this year ends differently for them.

I am a NESCAC homer through and through, but the league as a whole is down this year based on early goings. You never know, teams find their groove as the season goes on, but it's not the "5 teams in the top 10" it's been for the past few years.

Took away 2 things from the Tufts v Ham game today:

1) Tufts pulled away in the 2nd half of a potential trap. A win tomorrow seals them in for another natty run

2) Ham is just as good as we expected them to be; fringe top-20 team

Also, can anyone provide a full explanation of why Tufts has such good video media?

Because they see high value in it, and spend a ton of money on it. Most other D3 schools do not. It is incredible marketing for Tufts, and huge for their recruiting and branding.

In 2015 they raised 26k for film and media work just for the season. Jmblxtv was liquidated due to copyright infringement. In my opinion every team is posting highlight reels. Lsg isn’t blowing anyone out of the water. Give me something more like the old days

What a win for Hamilton, really impressive performance. I was very wrong about them, wasn’t even sure they’d be competitive in either game this weekend.

Its working now but still having some difficulties. Feel like I'm having a seizure.

RIT looks much more comfortable than CNU did with the Tufts pressure and pace. Picking apart the Tufts D so far.

I didn’t see the 17-5 Amherst game but they gave Tufts all they could handle yesterday and looked great in an impressive win over Lynchburg today!! Very skilled on the offensive side of the ball.

Watched a good chunk of this game and RIT was just a more complete squad yesterday..Tigers were athletic between the lines and had no problem going up and down with Tufts...I said before they are probably the team to beat in the North and that seems to be the case...Curious if they will stumble before the NCAA tournament?

There was an AWESOME stretch of lacrosse about halfway through the third of both teams going up and down with multiple fantastic saves from both goalies...Was nice to see the game played like that..makes it fun for and old guy like me!
