I would guesstimate her IQ as being between 50 and 75. Does she remember Georgia voted for Biden so that under her lame brained theory, Georgia would be one of the blue states.

Keeping up your track record of being WRONG on the facts (not to mention complaining about the man as he lies on his deathbed) - Jimmy Carter didn't graduate from USNA until mid-1946 and was not a WWII veteran (a self-described expert on WWII should know this) . Served two years in the fleet before attending submarine school and eventually served in Naval Reactors Branch, US Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D.C. beginning in 1952. So when Canada's Chalk River nuclear research facility experienced a power surge that damaged its reactor, the U.S. sent Carter and his team. He was one of a few people in the world who could do it. You first! I'll hang back of that line for a bit.

What's in my mind is: will she and her cohort of politicians think small dollar donations are the cats meow when we are in a recession and monetary policy sucks out liquidity from everyone's pockets? Then also, how much covid stimulus money went to some of these pols?? That's gonzo now forever.

Man there's a lot packed into that statement, covers just about everything that is wrong with our country - in addition to the fact that she is a member of our government.

Now there is plenty that is right with our country - but the way our government is bought and paid for by donations isn't one of them.

But as to what is wrong ~ the way we just throw around off-the-cuff comments about how turning your back on the big money donors of the various "Fill-In-the Blank Industrial Complexes" in order to tap the stupid money of blue collar voters is a loser's move - like that is just plain obvious and nothing to worry about....

I use incendiary language all the time but it doesn’t necessarily reflect my views. Off the cuff is my MO but I like to think that I spend a fair bit of time thinking through these and in diligence, just my style. Like Ben Stiller here:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A82lRWA75FQ

Both are problematic but my questions will inform as to the near and intermediate term future which I why I ask them.

I am not criticizing - I am observing. Your statement is just one more data point in the millions available that demonstrate that Americans have become numb to the notion that our government does not work for us. I make the same kind of statements, because they are true.

Understood. Just clarifying for anyone who hasn’t figured my way of rocking out yet.

Not to feed the Georgia lady troll but I do wonder if our social experiment works as well at scale as it did 100mm or so in population. Hasn’t felt representative much of my lifetime.

I also take it in stride when I think of institutionalism in political economic thought. Does the NRA or teamsters represent their members or the leadership and the institution? Does the church? And on and on. Unfortunate but a natural conclusion of success. Not sure how to change that just have to keep pressure on and force transparency at all times.

I do understand the limitations President Carter had during his 4 years in office. The mess in Iran was in large part his own doing. I understand why he did what he did. He was a victim of that ironic reality of unforseen consequences. Helping boot out the Shah seemed the right thing to do. Nobody in his administration foresaw that there were worse leaders for Iran than the Shah. Khomeini was a very popular figurehead in Iran. He just didn't have much love for those infidels called Americans. Did you ever in your life see any of those videos of the desecration of our service members? They laughed and smiled and picked at the charred bodies with their knives. It wasn't a pretty sight. I guess most folks like yourself just simply forgot about the debacle at desert one.

FTR I did the vast majority of my research into WW2 history in the 1970s. This may come as a stunning revelation to you Skippy...there was no such thing as Google search in the1970s :D When there was something you wanted to learn about WW2 you had to read these things called books. :D

President Carter received the WWII Victory medal because he was in service before 12/31/46. All service members who were active until that date got said medal. I suppose that technically makes them WWI veterans in some sense even though they participated in no combat operations during that period.

I am aware of the situation with Desert One - suggest you take it out on the barbarians who did it not the folks who tried to rescue our people out of a very tight spot.

Read up on President Carter beyond the situation to which you refer. He rightfully deserves criticism for what occurred on his Presidential watch and he paid for it electorally. The rest of his life is an exemplary on being an American.

The events that followed him during his 4 years as POTUS proved one thing. He worked diligently in the background to depose the Shah of Iran. Who was that guy who took his place??? The same guy who gave the thumbs up to the hostage crisis. The same crisis that gave us the humiliating debacle at desert one. I bet most of you on this forum never witnessed the Iranians desecrating the bodies of those Americans. It ain't popular reading on the internet. I was a young PFC at my unit at Ft Bragg when those pictures were published. Smiling and happy Iranian military folks poking at the charred bodies of our soldiers that were killed at desert one. I can't blame Jimmy Carter for that debacle. I can hold him responsible for the regime change he encouraged that was responsible for the events that have occured over the last decades. He hated the Shaw but paved the way for the Ayatollah Khomeini to take power in Iran.
Started a little earlier than that. He was trying to "right" the wrongs of the CIA and BP in 1953. There's a pretty good reason for the Iranians to hate the US. We brought back the Shah and his Savak. Why? Because the British could tolerate the effrontery of a democratically admin seeking market rates for national resources.

"Mohammad Mosaddegh[a] (Persian: محمد مصدق, IPA: [mohæmˈmæd(-e) mosædˈdeɢ] (listen); 16 June 1882 – 5 March 1967) was an Iranian politician, author, and lawyer who served as the 35th Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953, after appointment by the 16th Majlis.[4][5] He was a member of the Iranian parliament from 1923, and served through a contentious 1952 election into the 17th Iranian Majlis,[6] until his government was overthrown in the 1953 Iranian coup d'état aided by the intelligence agencies of the United Kingdom (MI6) and the United States (CIA), led by Kermit Roosevelt Jr.[7][8] His National Front was suppressed from the 1954 election.[9]

Before its removal from power, his administration introduced a range of social and political measures such as social security, land reforms and higher taxes including the introduction of taxation on the rent of land. His government's most significant policy was the nationalization of the Iranian oil industry, which had been built by the British on Persian lands since 1913 through the Anglo-Persian Oil Company (APOC/AIOC), later known as British Petroleum (BP).[10]"

Don't want people to fcuking hate you? Stay out of their business. Sort of like we should hate Pootie as he interferes with our internal politics. Of course there is a certain ironic symmetry to him doing the US what it itself does.

Marjorie Taylor Greene@mtgreenee

We need a national divorce.
We need to separate by red states and blue states
and shrink the federal government.
Everyone I talk to says this.
From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.
For once, I agree with this shrill charlatan. Once the "taker" red states are off on their own they can do whatever the hell they want. Finish the descent into a feudal, largely lawless Christo-fascist hellscape. Don't care. Shoot to kill on the borders, though.
Who mans the DMZ???
Coming soon from VAIC (Violence Applications International Corp.):

Think I saw the “making of”, it was called Metalhead, right?
Yes. Black Mirror.
Just wanted a teddy bear for a sick kid…sick being defined as non-white and not straight in this metaphor…
