Libraries are socialism, MDLax. And we can't have that, now can we?

Library owned and managed by the government? Pffft. That's heresy!

Your argument essentially boils down to: we don't need these anymore but let's keep dumping money into them.

Very few people go to libraries anymore a fan, and fewer still in the future. My non-woke non-virtue signal will be met with howls of indignation by your Dem seals, but facts are facts. Get rid of them.

Prog activist hits police in the head and gets released no bail.

Man, NYC is headed for disaster. Imagine as a young boy that you hit a cop in the face; your own dad would have cheered the cop for smacking you around and holding you in a cell for a week. Now, those same people (now Democrats) cheer for the person who hits the cop. Anti-American, I keep telling you.

This is what happens when you elect Democrats, folks.

You're seeing every day more and more what would happen with a country run by Democrats: anarchy, chaos, looting, murder, crime, mayhem, culture disintegration.

What's even more stunning is to see nominally educated lacrosse fans sign on to the anarchy. Hope they don't call police the next time they are needed. You know, show some solidarity with 'the cause'. Something tells me that won't happen though....

 If you "paid" for college, the University of Florida wouldn't be taking my tax dollars. Or take tax dollars from your fellow Floridians because guys like you are horrible at math.

Your tuition doesn't cover the cost of attending. If it did, it wouldn't need donations. And it sure as *hit wouldn't need to take money from me, to educate you.

All the same. Every single "socialism is bad" genius attends State University.

They're all the same. Selfish, self centered.

What they REALLY mean when they complain about socialism is: socialism and handouts for me....and everyone else can F off. I got mine.

… you are a total, 24/7 BULLSH!T machine.

Library usage is up, based on the most recent national study (2017). I will make it easy for you and give you the Wiki highlights. The raw data exists and readily available, but is wasted on a dumbass such as yourself.

Wikipedia 2017 Summary:

As of 2004, U.S. library usage was experiencing growth in spite of predictions to the contrary at that time.[2] Instead, the impact of technology on libraries has been mixed. While usage of some library services, such as reference assistance, has declined, there has been a well-documented increase in the usage of public libraries in the U.S. and Canada over the last decade.[3] Most libraries have added services such as public computers, free Wi-Fi, and digital materials such as web sites and e-books, leading to higher overall usage of the library. Counties and cities also continue to invest in library infrastructure. As of 2012, library construction and renovation has remained steady.[4] According to a 2013 survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, 54 percent of Americans ages 16 and older have used a public library in some way in the past 12 months.[5] A similar poll of Britons, conducted in 2010, stated that 67 percent had visited a library within the last year.[6] Public libraries remain very popular among all users, and as of 2014, younger patrons read and use the library at the same rate as older ones.[7][8] Over 94 percent of Americans say that "having a public library improves the quality of life in a community."[9]

The biggest problem faced by libraries is budgetary, not technology, not popularity.

… and of course you ignore the effect library closures have and will have on minority communities.

And some of us are still left footing the bill. Which is why those of us who attended private school from Pre K through Masters want school vouchers.

Given the pandemic, now would be a perfect time for states to roll out broad, school voucher programs.

Most schools receive federal money of some sort. A portion of your taxes and mine are paying for scholarships and research at universities throughout the country.
